Jtan? Can you explain the below, seemed to say it would even out at 10am? :
"IAG was up 8% yesterday + 6% today in Madrid while only 10% in London. Any thoughts why?"
Pre Omicron price, didn't think it would get there so fast but delighted it has! Next couple of weeks will show a decrease in cases and hospitalizations, we could be on holidays abroad celebrating the end of the pandemic sooner than expected!
Wow, must admit I was wrong but pleasantly surprised all the same! Didn't see such a big gap up!
Jtan it won’t gap up to +5.65% was what I was referencing .
There was a bank holiday in Spain a couple of weeks ago and the stock did not follow the same path. It might be that both the Euro and UK stock go up tomorrow, who knows....
A lot of stocks went up significantly today. If IAG UK was to follow this pattern, wouldn't everyone sell off and go to UK stocks?
Yes, but it doesn't mean the UK will go up the same %, im curious to see how it will work out as sp is dictated by supply and demand.
Not sure it will correlate to the gains seen today, a lot of money went into the airlines that were not on an extended bank holiday ... hope Im wrong...
Dont understand where the prediction of a fall is coming from, everything points north! Happy New Year! Pity the UK is on holiday.....
+5% in europe!
*news
Airline markets in Europe are very positive today! Need filtering through of a rebound!
France have been planning this for quite some time. This is why KLM and Air France had to give away Paris slots, the government bailed them out and they don’t want them flying specific routes anymore. IAG don’t have the same pressures.
Reality is that this is the end of the pandemic and beginning of covid being endemic. No button will be pressed, it would have been a couple of weeks ago if there was a threat. Anti virals are coming in a few months which will be a game changer.... then the end.... fingers crossed....
Hexam, hospitalizations are up because the people going into hospital, are getting tested and finding out that they also have covid as well as their broken toe!
Its literally everywhere and a lot of people i know have it, mild flu symptoms as they are all vaccinated. IMO 2 or 3 weeks and we will see a big change... DYOR

"A rise from 142 to 300 is 211%, check it on a calculator."
Stick to the pictures bud...
Omicron is the dominant strain in the UK, getting a test on arrival makes no sense at all, should be scrapped this Wednesday and if not, there will need to be a lot of explaining.....
Yes lost track of days! Meant Friday, was closed Friday when the UK was trading positively on that day. The spike is the compensation for being closed on a Green Day.
