There has long been the theory that they are trying to buy up between them and the onside IIs they can play a super premium for the tiny pot that is left to take it private. This kind of play has history and allows them to save face and seed the price for a refloat later.

There is the threat that they could also do similar and take out the minnows for very little. It's a bit of a binary play and one people just have to take their gamble on.
