THEN sub plot let's put out some news which states the company is going to be scrutinised and the BOD can't off load assets because the FCA (just like like the shareholders) didn't like some of the earlier shenanigans pulled by the BOD like releasing Directors from their Share lock ups for no common sense reason. Cue flash crash....

- then the dude with all the shares he's going to get stopped out on a chunk
- then trigger a remaining sell off of his assets

Best guess this was confirmed in a conference call on either the Q1 or the end of year results. I asked the question which was answered by Nayan that the company did not need to seek approval from the FCA to re-commence lending.

Actually technically they are still lending to certain categories of people termed as essential workers which someone earlier I believe misunderstood as teachers etc. Essential workers are Amazon delivery drivers, Tesco workers, etc etc so not as narrow as people think.

Well I guess that's why no Director buys last week, with this looming. Maybe that clears the way for this week?

This opens things up for someone to state "at least that's all the bad news out of the way"- AGAIN

Hang in there Novice. This is still a very risky stock but hopefully the amount of long term reward will reflect the risk.

There is a 50 / 50 split. On one hand there is stuff the company can do to improve the situation and it appears they are making strides in doing so. At the moment we only have some talk but the talk is better than the silence we have had for some weeks and the SP is reacting to it.

Then unfortunately we are at the mercy of the UK GOVT ( I don't want to turn this into a political rant) but the longer they have huge indecision on COVID it will impact on this business. As long as the business re-commences some level of lending and keep their cash reserves it should be ok.

Ultimately the business could end up very strong in 5 years time since the GOVT is on a collision course to make so many people sub prime due to their COVID handling, that companies like Amigo will be their most affordable option to get credit.

Jimmy I think lending in a limited way is correct. There is a pandemic going on. A lot of people are on furlough and as such could lose their jobs which would give them an option to possibly default on their loans. This share is not a get rich quick stock. Sure it is undervalued but the longer play in this is weathering the COVID storm and then building a strong business to follow. If you look what JB said about the 2008 financial crisis - the business got lucky with funding and then was able to capitalise straight after the crisis and in the 10 following years the value of the business exceed £1bn. Current market cap is too low. Sure. But being choosy on who they lend to is important for the moment they need to protect the cash balance and keep the loan book ticking over. If they can stabilise the loan book numbers without growing it then I would take that as a success for the moment. Look how many companies are folding and seeking rights issues etc. If we can make it out without doing that (and having a share dilution) then we would be in an awesome situation.

Be good to see this push towards an 11p finish. That would be a great day.

Aye Ex noted. If you can do anything to chummy Bojo & Co along that would be greatly appreciated. As I understand it the French nobbled him in the early days of COVID threatening to close borders when he was going for the herd immunity approach. I wonder how we would be if we had followed Sweden. It's a tough call and I don't envy his role in some way it's damned if you do & dammed if you don't but at the moment they all seem out of ideas. The clear science points out that this disease is not as deadly as they thought it was and it targets pretty specific groups.

I think some folks like Patrick Vallance with his 43,111 shares in Glaxo may prefer to see other outcomes!

We had Theresa May and that didn't go that well. Don't get me wrong I'm no fan of BoJo and I think the current approach to COVID has turned into a Circus that literally doesn't follow any science. The fact that they kept airports open during the first lockdown and now want to implement all of these quarantine measures is just bonkers. Pubs shutting at 10pm etc. Madness. Let's hope our poor Amigo (with it's decent cash reserves) can plot a course to sail through this and then divide and conquer in the years that follow.
