poor you!
Did i think i would see Hirco leading the performance chart over a month in my portfolio!
never a dull day in Hirco land!! why dont the HB just make their merger terms public and let the shareholders decide???
Removes the biggest uncertainty!! Might also mean the shifty HBs are forced to finally pay up!!!!
HIRCO APPOINTS ADDITIONAL NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LONDON - Hirco PLC (AIM:HRCO), the AIM-quoted real estate investment company, is pleased to announce the appointment of John D. Chapman as an additional non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr. Chapman, aged 55, is a qualified lawyer and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has extensive experience as a hands-on non-executive director of AIM-quoted property companies investing in India and other emerging markets. He has also worked as an adviser to various U.S. and foreign governmental bodies on law enforcement issues and has worked as a white collar criminal prosecutor in the United States and as a commercial litigator handling complex commercial litigation. Because Mr. Chapman is a US citizen resident in the United States, the constitution of the Board is consistent with Hirco's Articles of Association.
a good one for sure.. can't remember who recommended it to me, someone on this board.. From what I gather the aim is to push the price up a bit more then have a share issue to start the investment ball rolling.... Sure the price will come back a bit on that...... but for the big gains leave for a few years in the bottom drawer...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qbKe8XlnHc&feature=related no doubt family strategy is to short the stock down til capitulation then make a bid at 20p!!
Just read you got out.. can't blame you on that count!! i have mine in the SIPP and cant bring myself to capitulate on this one.. The value is there and as we know its difficult to predict the timing and how the HB games will pan out!!! They are very devious, although this last RNS has at least proven that they are running low on tricks, if they have had to resort to stalling on data!!!.. As an asset play even if you write off the other development and focus on Mumbai this has enormous upside.. and lets not forget the pref dividend.. The fact the 'Family' are starting to show there true colours to me is a good thing.. and lets face it this is ripe for another go by a hedge fund -
this remains the dog of my portfolio, but i guess thats par for the course!! its been encouraging that HSBC (which i think is HB) has increased recently.. quite a bit of volume went through on Fri too..
Zurich.. that well know hub of AIM investors... still maybe some of the many hedge funds based there will show interest and screw the HB...
fun and games i see.. when / where is the agm???
Knowing what goes on in the Ukriane, very likely that a 40p bid tomorrow!!
Merger is coming.. even if its at 60% discount to NAV, thats 400% upside from here!!!! http://www.indiainfoline.com/Research/LeaderSpeak/A-professional-chairman-would-serve-investors-best-interests-Niranjan-Hiranandani/22825495
does that mean that when he makes a bid next year for the assets it will be impartial!!!
our new activist shareholder is starting to stir the hornet's nest.. can only be a good thing!!!! http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/218232/Investors-urged-to-act-on-AIM-listed-property-firm/Investors-urged-to-act-on-AIM-listed-property-firm#ixzz18eikh7IY
relentless slide continues!!! I notice every year we are told the management are looking at ways to re-address the material under-valuation versus NAV and nothing happens excpet a further declinein the SP!! Will be interesting how far they want to drop it before offering a solution..
dd7 - would be interested in what you think.. For me, they are better than I was expecting... i thought something nasty re permits was going to be announced given the continual collapse of the share price.. in fact for me the confrimation of the international airport is a welcome positive... in my opinion whether the NAV is 500p, 800p or 600p is immaterial given the current share price and the massive discount to any of those values...
I also see on the main hirco website that the HB are planning to launch several more townships... with the dismal return seen here, how on earth are they likely to get the financial backing? gtiven your background your thoughts would be appreciated. thanks.
doesn't seemed to have stopped the decline... i'm guessing there must be something in the numbers that are due.. still lets hope this new investor stirs up the hornet's nest..
Thanks for your thoughts... I guess the problem here is that there is no catalyst to reverse the decline... its clear that the NAV has no bearing on the share price and the management have no incentive to get the share price up... there is incredible value here, but will we as shareholders ever see any of it??? I won't sell my holding but I sure wont add to it either...
