Limited downside in my opinion, recent massive sell off bottemed at 100p or so. That level presents better buying opportunities is all. No panic sell off for Avacta I think, it is when all is said and done the goose that will lay a golden egg, shortly.
I think on balance I expect Avacta to hold to its P1a Q4 statement and having said that I dont think they will go down to the wire, so for me its tomorrow. Perhaps the only thing mitigating that is the absence of rabid buying into close today! Its been a bl**dy looong wait, so fingers firmly crossed.
Nothing to do with Avacta, everything to do with the greed of elites and the willingness of others to grease the wheels. I recollect the baroness pocketed some 29 million quid for her efforts with ppe which was quickly squirreled away in a tax haven with her interest not being declared. Investigation pending, can but hope they hang her out to dry but somehow I doubt it.
Al loves a Thursday for the big news so my guess is its Thursday this week. But by all things holy this has been a humdinger of a wait for transformative news. I am a true believer though so whether its this week or shortly it wont change much for me I will be hanging onto my shares for the forseeable, until infact Roche mk2 is delivered. Good luck all and keep the faith its coming.
"More advanced " noticed that the pipeline tab of the referenced website indicates stage is "discovery" with preclinical commencing 2022. Phase 1 and 2 pending. Nevertheless an inspiring read. As a long term holder I am well aware of the disparate threads of Avacta, wouldnt be so heavily invested were it not so, but great to read something like this. Clearly a share that I will skim prpfits on now and then but with such huge growth potential I can see me holding it for many, many more years or until takeover. GLA.
Call me cynical but Avacta did not want a high share price before the Institutional Investors day and here we are with a frankly, assuming all is well with P1a, a laughable one. Another thought, if there is to be a hiccup Avacta wants institutional investors with sticky fingers holding from a low base. Fingers and everything else crossed.
I guess most folks know by now that when, more likely when than if at this stage I feel, the Avacta share price hits 300p it is only a matter of time and the proving of Affimers inhuman untill it hits 30 times that or so.
Simples. Either whats new before Thursdays RNS and whats new on Thursday afternoon are likely to be two different things, or dose escalation and on we go. No bad news in either outcome.
Problem with purchasing an LFT manufacturing facility is that this presents a real potential for losses whilst contract manufacturing presents the reality of reduced profit only. A manufacturing facility represents a Big step.
Speaking personally and without insider knowledge, as novel as this now appears, I'm fully expecting some form of licencing deal to be revealed in respect of AVA3996 which will further bolster Avacta's financial position. The bond serves to greatly improve Avacta's negotiating position and add stability to the share price. Anyhoo not long to wait.
Yeh, ... never count your money while youre sitting at the table, there'll be time enough for counting when the dealing is done. You've got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away know when to run ...
Me? Im for holding.
"Excellent performance appears not to be a positive factor in the case of Affimers outperforming Antibodies." Well Rome wasn't built in a day, but its good to know that Avacta has Antibody replacement potential in its back pocket! Given that the EU has declared a long term objective for Antibodies produced in Animals to be phased I'll bet this will figure in someones calculations soon enough.
I find it mind boggeling that Avacta, a share I have concluded (after considerable effort and years) is worth north of 13000p is currently valued at only 130p. I suppose the day will eventually come when the brakes will come off and disbelivers will be wringing their hands in disbelief crying "if only, I had believed what the LTHs were saying, if only ..." but hey ho I have enough and its just a short haul from here to blast off. Last chance saloon I think ...
All true about setting aside AffiDx for Covid but the future for diagnostics as a whole remains very bright . Look at the prices of the Lab based Numan tests and imagine we can mirror these with LFT. Looks good to me particularly if we can establish a market within the NHS and wider for sepsis and the rest.
