I think with the geological similarities that porphyry intrusions will likely have that are clustered close together, it may not be as necessary in normal circumstances to prove up to the same level of geological confidence to racecourse. With the comparative geophysics along with the recon drilling into ascot, it will give a good degree of confidence in the deposit. As for a valuation, we can only second guess :((

Funny thing is, Colin actually managed to say all that without divulging any price sensitive information! I must admit I was very sceptical about what he could say without a preceding RNS. God only knows how the market is going to react in the coming weeks.
At least, there would appear to be now, a lot less second-guessing required. I’ll stick my neck out joeman and say they will continue drilling within the budget allocated. That’s how I read it.

Buzzarn was certainly not wrong in his prediction this was going to be a corker.
So much revealed, I was completely shocked by his frankness, it’s put to bed hopefully the rumours of any further raise in ‘22. With 23k mtrs drilled and 600k under budget. I do wonder if they are still drilling and can continue this phase to close off the north-west and to the south. Also stick a few more holes into Ascot if needed. So without a further drill phase. That’s how I understand it. So we can then just sit back and watch the share price rise in Q1 and 2 as the essay results slowly come back it’s certainly going to be an exciting New Year all the best to everyone.

Colin does not seem to be able to contain himself in mentioning the bushranger discoveries in his other company interviews! He never seems to cross ramp his other companies in xtract interviews :o)

On track to produce

Whatever the interp model is at present, sub 450mt or not, roughly what would be required with expected grades, there is still scope for extension to NW and particularly south as recent drills have indicated a swing to west at the lower end of porphyry, that is planned to be drilled, wether as part of a further phase or a continuation of this phase possibly maybe. So whatever the guesstimate is now there will be further pit extension to envelope any increased ore later when fully delineated.

Very encouraging will be bullish soon, cannot be too much longer.

If there is an interview that’s been recorded, it would surely be to accompany an RNS. So what could the RNS be to report? Could be a barn storming hole 38 that has gone strike length similar to hole 1. Completion of phase 2? Is too early for conceptual pit model to have included related assays, so maybe the interp model after all!
Or could be just a wind up.
Any other thoughts?

Here’s a couple of classic CB quotes,

I agree Ben, it was refreshing to have a CEO engage with its shareholders in the very early discovery phase, responding through Zak’s interviews. I had not seen that before. Colin Bird’s enthusiasm has always been infectious, but now, there is a more serious approach to the reporting lately.
What I can see though, is a CEO that just has so much confidence in this asset he is promoting. He can be very relaxed in his approach, enjoying the banter, knowing they have the big one! He has laughed off quips from Zak such as suggesting “Colin, likes to think he is the boss,” there is no doubt a good rapport between them.
Like it or not, with Colin on form, you don’t get a stuffy, rigid interview you quite often hear in other companies interviews.
The cynical may disagree, but there is no disputing the fact that these frequent interviews, which can sometimes be more open to interpretation, have formed the basis of some really good discussions on this board that you don’t see with more RNS news driven stocks. Where both the exploration projects are concerned listening to both podcasts, in oz and Zambia, objectives lie it would seem with both open pits. At eureka, one of two missions is to develop the open pit and produce cash flow. The other mission, the deep drilling. But, CB goes on to say “We have got a business and will be Perusing the open pit, the first mission is to get cash out of it. “ In the 23rd sept podcast, regarding racecourse he says, “what next, we prove up the open pit. “
The material change since then was the confirmation of Ascot, 1.5km to south east but there is still further drilling to be done to close off to the NW and carry on chasing it South. Holes 37 and 38 are spinning at Ascot , we know there is cash in bank, could further holes be drilled to extend this phase even further to close these off? It is a clear objective, and one that would not necessarily delay an ‘updated’ and much anticipated, resource model from conceptual pit expected when assays from the last of the holes up to now drilled into racecourse, holes 13, 15-24, 26,28 and 30 are returned and data added to model. It may hit 2mt, with still more to be added!
Just an idea as CB suggested we second guess what the company may do.

Fully agree Cygnus, the ability to finance from revenue has always been what has bogged us down and in one respect on a personal level, has been welcomed as have been able to double up and and continue to add with market cap sub 45m as the fundamentals have only increased. There is always a risk reward factor in play and would hope it swings from risk as Manica starts producing to add to alluvial income. When it does, the opportunity will present itself for the wealthy and institutions to look a lot closer which will eventually reach a tipping point.
Fingers and toes crossed, but with latest from Empress it looks a fair chance.

Still got deep drilling in Zambia to look forward to, testIng IOCG theory. Does appear to have gone on the back burner for time being whilst racecourse is being proved up to get it sold.
I would assume any kind of drilling at Eureka would be in the form of a thorough exploration phase, that would need extra resources and man power to process it all, then to be in a position to take the project there further if results are encouraging. So may be, will have to wait until conclusion in oz when budget will not be an issue. Eureka has the potential to turn xtract mid tier. Compelling case for investment without the oz campaign. Hope to hear the plan sometime soon.
