AI view on the partnership between IBAI & MedImageMetric18 Feb 2026 10:52
Imaging Biometrics has partnered with MedImageMetric (MIM) to commercialize QSMetric, a patented, FDA-cleared Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) software. This partnership integrates advanced QSM technology with IB’s portfolio, enabling, automated, high-precision MRI analysis for identifying iron deposits, microbleeds, and demyelination in neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's, and supporting ARIA-H surveillance.
Key Aspects of the Partnership
Commercialization & Access: IB now offers QSMetric, developed by Dr. Yi Wang's MedImageMetric, through an annual license subscription.
Technology Integration: QSMetric processes standard gradient echo brain MRI data to provide quantitative, objective data that is often invisible on conventional scans.
Clinical Utility: It is particularly valuable for monitoring Alzheimer's disease and patients undergoing anti-amyloid therapies, addressing a U.S. diagnostics market exceeding $3.5 billion.
Expanded Portfolio: The partnership aims to combine QSMetric with IB’s existing neuro-imaging solutions to enhance clinical decision-making tools.
Future Development: The collaboration includes plans for developing AI-driven analytics, integrating with other imaging technologies, and expanding applications in neuro-oncology and vascular disorders.
Global Distribution: In December 2025, this partnership was strengthened by an expanded global distribution agreement with GE HealthCare to accelerate access to this technology.
This strategic alliance is designed to improve clinical workflows, providing more accurate, quantitative, and automated assessments for improved patient care
