Key share holders- In the Hannam note it says Hargreaves Lansdown as opposed to Hargreaves Lansdown fund investment managers. It refers to HBOS as fund investment managers. Is this a typo error?

Magic I have very bad experiences of II and IG . I placed £1k in De Greys and was it purchased 15% below the current sp price on the day. They don't do live trading. I'm now waiting on II to return a deposit 12 days later and it's still not seen the bank account yet. Steer clear would be my advice.

When this mornings RNS came out I checked Greatlands website and Stephen Beetham was still being shown as a significant shareholder. I have just this minute checked and the site has been updated to show none above 3%. I'm guessing if anyone including Newcrest should breech this then a RNS will ne released naming the fortunate benefactor.

Hi Trucky no I didn't hazard a guess. I'm afraid my math and common sense evacuated the brain when I got married in 1980. All that exists there is now copious vacuum, memories and yearning to be young once again. Mostly seagulls around the yacht not ducks now so I'll guess 9 but another two pints could be 18. PS. Hi East-Ender. I've no idea on what current accidents / incidents are at Newcrest since but I would imagine it would be impossible to conceal a fatality. Mining is inherently dangerous as you are probably aware. The use of Aluminium Nitrate is routinely used for blasting, the same compound that caused the Beirut catastrophe. Tailings are a big H&S issue too as they more often than not contain arsenic. The leaching process uses cyanide. There was a horrendous tailings failure that resulted in 250 deaths. This is just stuff I've picked up from the internet trying to educate myself.

@Bamps21 Newcrest's history on health and safety leaves a lot to be desired. Whoever being fined is a concern but the cessation of mine whilst a investigation is ongoing is financially crippling.

TmT - Hmm I did buy shares in Greatland yesterday and today. £400 pounds worth is all the spare cash I had and circa 3000 shares. I'm very happy with my meagre holdings. Yachts just a yacht at the end of the day. A caravan on water is a common analogy. Sunsets are fantastic. Just need a lady to share it then life's complete.
