Will have to think about what to do, got a couple of weeks to think.
Is it just the application that is in crylic? I can just about cope with that but if everything else is in crylic it will drive me crazy.
Thing is with green tech is it will grow massively but the third world are also growing and still using oil etc, so I would imagine we might see Europe as net zero by 2040 but the rest of the world will take a long time to catch up. There's a really good book called how the world works, and it really outs things into perspective. Oil has basically pushed the human race forward about a 1000 times but until we move to the next energy source we will always be dependent on it.
Thanks Brasso, making me feel better about my decision. I just wanted to get it sorted ASAP but I didn't realise it take that long! Now wondering if I should have got certificates with Evraz but it's too late now. I don't think they can move without sanctions going anyway.
I've ordered certificates; I'm in for the long haul! Once we split the business I'll have one squeaky clean business worth more than I paid, and another dodgy Russian business that is worth something and may pay me a dividend. I'm happy to roll the dice and what will be will be.
I'd imagine you'll get plenty of notice but I've literally just asked Barclays to send me certificates. Once I have them Incan easily register on tabys or with wood and co. Not too bothered about selling unless they go back on LSE or they can fetch a decent price on AIX if that's the case then I'll see about moving them again. Remember you do get allowance for capital gains tax which was about 10K last I checked (correct if wrong) so you could just sell 5k to 10k per annum and then put that cash back in your ISA.
I know people that have never left the country because it's too much hassle to get a passport, each to their own I suppose.
It was mentioned as thw main reason for the redom on a previous announcement. Russia will not allow British companies to sell (or split) Russian assets, so they move to kaz split the group and it's happy days. They didn't mention anything saying they definitely will go back to London though.
If there was a way of doing it where I could keep my shares that would be grate. However I don't think the FCA etc will allow a sanctioned entity to do that. Post sanctions even whilst suspended is still possible though.
Sounds promising that app they recommended is aweful, can't even get a confirmation text through. As long as they can hold the stock and pay me dividends I'm happy, if they can ISA them even better.
I tried setting up with interactive brokers but they don't support ISA stock transfers
Just contacted Barclays this was the response

Cheers for that link. By my reckoning you can just set up with AIX broker and then it should be all automatic. Paper certs is also an option. I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone that route with Evraz but I'm sure with enough phone calls you and a nice admin fee you can get something sorted.
What's the plan in terms of getting shares sorted? Shall I set up broker now and transfer? Go paper then set it up? Can I swap and LSE for an AIX? A simple step by step guide would be good. Preferably with the simplest broker. I don't care about tax, it's only 7.5 on dividends.
Is that within an ISA?
That was in reference to x100 SP
It would also make me a millionaire... one can dream.
Starmer can't even support the strikers so I'm sure he'll be singing the same yune as the Tories if he gets in.
The 1.3 million is what makes me trust Mr White. Who's gonna but 1.3mill of their own money into something they don't trust will work?
Tatty it could just be that most that own HUI own PHE so they've just moved from HUI to PHE because of the latest RNS. I would buy more HUI but I'm calling it quits on this whole thing and just sticking with what I own for better or for worse.
