This is the Sunday Times - behind a paywall so here you go. It is a Q&A with angel investor Conor Sharpe
Conor Sharpe is chief investment officer at Swoop, a small business funding and savings platform. Previously, Sharpe, 35, worked as a commodities trader.
He has been an angel investor for seven years, backing companies including the online fashion store SilkFred and Bidstack, a listed digital advertising business. One of his latest investments is FitXR, which is building a virtual-reality gym chain.

Best investments
They happen when I have high conviction at a very early stage, thus helping to magnify returns. I invested in SilkFred before it had any revenue. It has grown to host more than 800 independent fashion brands and just passed £100m in sales. Bidstack was valued at less than £1m when I invested. It was worth £11.5m when it listed and is now worth about £32m.
