Good evening hedger. GCM and Power China spent weeks in negotiations before announcing their joint venture. As I have stated before, several times. You do not announce your intention to go ahead with a project worth tens of billions of dollars without doing an awful lot of homework. The need for funding, permissions, timetable for construction, etc, will have been thoroughly discussed and is no doubt all in hand. If not, someone dropped a gigantic clanger by agreeing to a public announcement in the Capital, press releases, an RNS etc etc . Do we really think Power China and GCM made a mistake of such costly and gigantic proportion???.. DYOR. good luck

Would it be correct to assume that this trade at 12.37pm was a large sell and is responsible for the price increase that followed shortly after, clearing the decks so to speak

Hi Redbus. Not unusual to see the bid price drop at the close, but the actually selling price was closer to 30p. Could be to scare PI`s into selling first thing or maybe there will be a dip in the opening price and then a strong bounce back. At the end of the day, traders want your shares at the lowest price they can get them, especially if this is heading where many think it is soon £1.00 plus. Good luck

I like profits enthusiasm, be it a bit OTT. £2.50 a share would be v v v nice indeed. I am sure most here would be very happy. To be honest getting back to around 35 to 40p would be very encouraging and dispel any fears that all is not as it seems

Every small rise is being sold into. Re tax bills, selling shares today will get you your money in several days time, they have left settling up with the IR a bit late, clearly now low on cash after paying tax bills today. GLA

Perhaps I am being presumptuous, but:- One of the largest engineering companys in the world, is already building huge amounts of infrastructure in BD. Said company agrees a joint venture with GCM to build a multi billion dollar coal fired power station. Said companys hire a Hotel suite in the capital of BD to announce publicly their joint venture. Government officials with the power to decide whether said venture goes ahead are unaware that such a project has been planned and are taken by surprise by the public announcement. Government of BD will now spend weeks or months determining whether or not to approve said venture which will help to make them more energy independent and provide electricity to millions who currently do not have it. Said venture will help to boost the economy enormously as electricity is the foundation of any modern economy and crucial to economic growth. BD may yet not give approval, say the odd one or two posters??. Really? seriously? Does anyone really believe that approval has not already been verbally granted and what we are actually waiting for is the approval on official letter headed note paper signed by the appropriate minister. Its what I think anyway. GL to all investors.

This is like a repeat of the 11th Jan. Price shot up from 23.75 to 38, no one sure why, next day 44p, 3 days later 69p. Price went up 4 days before official announcement. Pretty sure this is not just traders mucking about. RNS is imminent.

My apologies to those who never doubt, but as someone who is as concerned as many on here re the NOMAD situation, I have just emailed GCM and received a very prompt response at 10.40am. "The announcement on the 21st January still remains correct". If they do no appoint in time there will surely be some serious flack headed their way. Cheers all and GL

Am just becoming a little tired of trying to sort opinion from facts and rampers from derampers etc etc. BB`s, as I have discovered can become a sess pit of misinformation and outright lies. It is a dream I know, but wouldn't it be nice if all we got was comments based on actual facts. There are BB`s with posts that are just that, but in the minority I suspect, especially when a share is as volatile as this one. Anyway GL.
