Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Looking to be sold for £7m here, also noticed the last placing was @ 7p. This has rerate written all over it.
Took a small position here, recent news certainly looks like this has become way oversold.
The best bit was paying nearly a million to get rid of the hedged oil price from Athena just as the oil price was crashing, you couldn't make it up.
I'm sorry but your narration had me laughing, "we're in the ****" classic, good luck mate
Somebody got 20% of this business for £72.5k on the 10th march they get to sell @300% premium to what they paid.why has this not tanked further ?

Think it's the new shares hitting the market today, interesting no drop on those big sells.
96% of shares not in free float
To buy
Athena is going to bleed them dry, unless they manage to sell their 15% who's gonna buy it when it need $87 a barrell to break even
Cracking post
22320 barrels a month and it's losing £380k so production cost is roughly $86 a barrel according to today's rns. Athena is a complete waste, they should plug and abandon it immediately. No wonder we've been doing terrible. These co's should state production cost on a regular basis. Can't see oil even getting to break even in the next 6 months, that's another few £m to lose. Can't see any way out of this. The market has been spot on with this one for years now
Bust I'd say
They could have sold them for double not so long ago. Can't decide if it's worth topping up here. Can't the sp show any less asset value than currently ?
Steady on there, all we need now is work over complete and pumping rns, maybe another year of decent oil revenues, no assets valued here right now, it's a pretty safe bet as far as aim is concerned. The rubbish bod have now gone , could be interesting, check holding RNS's recently, ripe for a buyout/takeover
Ok so now we are trading at less than cash+igas shares. That includes deducting the decom costs, so the market is valuing our assets at Zero. Would have liked some info on current production at Athena or lack of it, current man in charge as bad as the last, screaming buy at this price in my opinion. Can see either fire sale of assets and spread what little joy is left back to shareholders , or you know who takes over , rebrands and changes investment policy, either way, it's got to end up better than this price.
Just noticed in the last report Trap closed (at a cost of 900k usd) the oil price hedge fund, a few months ago, what a poor move that turned out to be with the current oil price.
£330k per month, over 10k per day, what a fantastic company
This selling of the Igas shares, I can't see this being mentioned in any rns? No wonder the bod did one. Trading at less than cash+whatever shares are left in Igas. Unschooled economics springs to mind. Must be worth a punt at this level, expecting mr you know who to take over this mess and make use of the cash unlike the previous bod
So the bod have made their millions, achieved nothing in over a year, and now the 2 highest paid bod's simply leave, renegade on the play with total, so what's left,? Athena and Igas shares. No future or plans moving forward, worst corporate strategy rns ever, the cash is (I hope) still there, they could have played with any number of options, not just North Sea , but no, decide to do nothing and leave . What a joke
