Has anyone received their open offer shares yet?
Glastonbury - posted on Twitter - great news!
Still a gap to be closed here to £1.98 and then the battle begins.
Mike van Dulken, head of research, Accendo Markets 2016 share tip: Worldpay Given the economic transition to consumption from export-led in China, and the increasing move to a global service economy, the outlook for payments processing giant Worldpay (WPG) should be very favourable. The uptrend for the company's shares since its October IPO (+20%) bears testament to its positive fundamentals and strong growth drivers endorsed by partnerships with both Mastercard and Visa. Allowing retailers to accept over 300 payments methods, including newly launched Apple Pay, almost anywhere in the world and in almost any currency, sees it processing in excess of 30m mobile online and instore transactions daily – a figure which can only but grow as we are encouraged to ditch cash. With digital payment offering reduced chance of both fraud and of lost sales, it appeals to both sides of the till (for as long as tills exist!), while its wealth of valuable data allowing analysis of spending habits is another string to its bow. The outlook is bright, the Worldpay is its oyster.
go to www.nakedtrader.co.uk and have a look. Enough to make me lay out £42K.
Bought 15,000 of these today after a tip by the naked trader. Looks like there won't be much to read on this board!
Anyone can have a duster ( Puka ) but what really winds me up is that it was so obvious the news was leaked on the Friday to let the " mates " out. I could have sold at a £10K profit on the Friday if I had known instead of taking a £16K hit ( I finally got out at 0.5P before consolidation ). I still think now I would have sold at least half my holding ( a million ) on the Friday but I couldn't cos I was at V festival. I actually left the festival early Sunday night cos I was so excited about the expected RNS Monday morning. What a bummer that was! Hope you all get to make your money back elsewhere. All the best
I lost £16K here, hope that makes you feel a little better!
Please forgive my ignorance but can anyone explain in simple terms what todays RNS means? Is it good or bad? Cheers
From what I can find out the weather in Kosovo has been much better than usual since the start of the year so should help production.
I bought in on Friday so I hope you're right, only just started trying to read charts but they look good to me.
Something strange is happening here, there have been some huge buys ie 750,000 on at least 4 occasions since Friday but on advfn they are not added to the days volume. They appear for a split second and then are gone after the next buy/sell. Any ideas anyone?
This is the weirdest share I hold, most days no trades at all! Has still gone up over 10% since I bought in in April. If they get the detergent deal this is gonna be massive.
HSBC actually rang me back today! They still had no specific news on SPE but apparently this is what normally happens. Everyone with less than the required amount of shares (10,000 in this case), these shares are all put into a pot so that they are then numbered at many tens of thousands. Shares are then bought with the pot the shares are then sold again at current market value and the cash is sent to the shareholders divided up according to how many shares they held. I was given no clue as to the time scale of this, they are supposed to be ringing me back this Friday with more news. So it appears we will eventually get our money back. I assume all banks etc will do a similar sort of thing. Hope this helps, I will post anymore info I get on Friday.
Spoke to HSBC again today, still no information, supposed to now be ringing me back on Monday. I will not be letting this drop, it may only be a few hundred quid but they cannot just wipe out our money! Will keep posting until sorted
I had 8275 shares in my hsbc sharedealing account. they have now "disappeared" from my portfolio, phoned the bank and the girl who answered couldn't tell me anything so promised me a call back with info which never came!
Well done the bod, the capital reorganisation has cost the company and shareholders 40% of it's value!
