Not sure about other other regions , but nothing happening at all . Subbies , brick barons even cards in lads have nothing happening .lads are starting at looking going into warehouse / factory work . I think this time when it picks up there will be a massive labour shortage as everyone’s had enough !

It’s absolutley dead at the mo ! Subbies aren’t even making minimum wage ! Haven’t seen it this quiet since the 2008 crash .

Plenty of apprentices ?? I work on site & haven’t seen a brickie apprentice in years ! We all keep saying , I wonder what will happen in the next 10/20 years as our squad age is mid forty’s & we are some of the youngest here .

Today we’ve just had a 36 pence an hour pay rise . Doesn’t make much difference as the build targets are the same .

Hi , I work for them & this was mentioned only the other month that’s it’s around 50 % .

Yes your exactly right! Nobody’s been finished at our firm yet ! Everything was flat out till Xmas .hopefully people will realise that they have to pay a bit more for their mortgage & we get building these houses again !

Hi again , it was just what the Nhbc man told me as I I’d asked him what things are like out there , as I was leaving site on Friday afternoon . I work for another big house builder & our site has another 8 plots to start & that’s it , there not starting anymore for the time being
