This bird 'is on the wing' but he could change his mind in view of negative reaction to the proposed ABRDN? This has already cost them in falling share price. I may buy in again at around 250p. Anybody thinking similarly?

Just the thought of all those highly paid execs sitting round the table and Abrdn is the best they can come up with. Doesn't give much confidence in the rest of the decision making

I agree. I think the choice is pathetic. The CEO says it will bring "clarity of Focus". How can a name like Aberdn possibly bring clarity of focus. Laughable! The loss of the old respected Standard Life name will IMHO be hugely damaging. The threat of removal has been damaging enough already. I sold my holding.

Does anyone know when the Standard Life company name will be removed?
Opinions please if the rebranding will prove good or bad for the share price?

The dividend is paid on the face value of the shares (10p) NOT the market price of the shares. This makes some difference to your theory

The yield of 6.39% is very good. Despite the Deepwater problems. the dividend has held steady. I think that a dividend increase is on the cards and at the current deflated price BP is a BUY

And GOCO doing quite well also.I enjoy my moments of happiness even if they do prove to be shortlived. By the way does anyone know the supposed value of a GOCO share at the time of demerger?

After years of holding RSA (since 1999) and the value going down and down things do seem to be healthier now and although I'll never get my money back even if they reach 6.50 one has to remember that they are still a take over target and the steady movement up could mean more than post brexit euphoria?

Somebody increasing their stake? A suitor? its a thought.

Best day for a while though I'm still way down. I'm holding though because I think that finally the future with this company could be bright and we must not forget it is still a potential take over target.
