A couple of weeks ago I queried the ‘Buy Now’ tab on a banner in the Mr Bean game, for a Samsung Galaxy ad. I was wondering whether it was interactive and would enable you to be redirected to purchase the phone, presumably this is just that?

To be fair to helx/Girdz, he did (sorry they did) a pretty good job of keeping this SP down for as long as possible. It ended up a bit like King Canute trying to keep the tide at bay, I think the current must have carried him (sorry them) away!

This is an indication of what a big part sentiment plays in a companis fortunes. When faith is lost in the managment it does not bode well. Look at BIDS for instance, no matter what 'good new' is reported the SP simply does not react, the trust has been eroded and it isn't easy to repair.

If its the wrong board, Pokerchips why are you maknig reference to BIDS specifically, on other boards...????

I would honestly expect Alan Green has more idea than you Girdz, sitting in your bedroom posting drivel seven days a week.

Let’s be honest whether JD and the incumbent are able to make this work is still questionable, but what in my opinion is not in question is the real value in this Company that is not whatsoever reflected in the current SP.
Any company with the technology, the signed agreements and the accolade of being first to market has a real value. If they are not able to execute themselves then there will be plenty of eager recipients that would be prepared to pay a decent sum for what BIDs already has to offer. What they have developed and the plethora of agreements already signed makes this a very attractive proposition.
As we all know, only too well, it takes years to get to this point, and we all believe in the concept. In my opinion Bids has real value, whether they can drive the required income now or not. The current SP is a joke.

That’s right Girdz, unlike you I am able to hold a balanced view, the good and the bad. I stand by what I said, but I didn’t sell them and I still maintain the idea is a good one with massive upside potential. The online banner creation is not good, they ought to take it off their website.

Girdz doesn't sound like he knows his @rse from his elbow. What ever he does I suggest you do the opposite. If he says buy, then sell and visa versa. In fact, I've just picked up some Polarean, pretty much on the strength of him selling!

Girdz, you're at it again, making things up, you really do have a bit of a problem my friend.
Why would there be no adds in a game simply because only a few hundred people are playing, surely you undertsand that logic makes no sense whatsoever. Advertisers are paying per view, so the number of people actually playing at any given time would have no bearing on whether ads are included or not.
On your other point...ads are targeted geogaphically, so how on earth you are meant to know if adverts are being dsplayed in games played in Scandanavia or the USA or anywhere else in the world is beyond me.
You are either being disingenuous (which is my guess), or you really do not have a grip of what is going on here.

The point is Senza if it draws in more advertisers in the first instance, because they like the concept then that has got to be a good thing. It would be a bit annoying for the gamer however, if during a game they inadvertently clicked on a banner and were diverted away, that would not be considered unobtrusive advertsing!

I do recall a couple of years ago BIDs run a test campaign with Subway and there was talk of pausing games to order food deals that were being displayed on advertising hoardings, wasn’t sure whether this was actually a thing…or just speculation. Always seemed a good idea, perhaps still some way off.

Does anyone know…the Samsung Galaxy ad in the Mr Bean game, has what looks like an interactive tab, saying ‘Buy Now’. Does this actually provide a link to where the phone can be bought?
