Yes, the raise is going ahead in my view. Plan now is CIZ Bio will pay the US trial costs, which presumably includes any reagents required. However, AS mentioned three different tests in the plans requiring three different assays, so I'm not clear which is which, but I'm not going to worry about that - that's Prof Dawn's job. The point is there is a plan, licensing is happening, scaling up is progressing, trials are planned, revenue is forecast, progress is being made.

That's not what I heard. I heard that the plan was to spend some of that raise on trials, but now don't need to , saving $500k. AS stating that we are now well cashed up.

I'm currently watching the documentary series about Theranos. Given the similarities (at a very high level - a simple blood test that can provide a diagnosis via a machine without sending off to a lab) and the fact that we are aiming to launch in the US, I'm not surprised AS is playing it slow, steady and without fanfare. Theranos was an idea without the tech. To avoid being tarred with the same brush, we need to show the tech works conclusively before shouting about it, as I bet there is a fair bit of PTSD about and folks will be cautious and sceptical.

I think folks looking for exact timelines for certification and commercialisation are going to be disappointed. It will happen when it happens. It might be two steps forward and one back as they optimise the solution but the main thing is progress is being made.

I got a corporate action notification about the MVL a couple of days ago. I wonder if those without knowledge of the Ruvuma cash pipeline have decided to take the money out now before liquidation, thinking it's imminent?

Some open questions. What if:-

1. any delay is due to widening the scope of the test to make it more valuable?

2. one set of clinical trials has been done, but we didn't like the results, so are optimising to make it more valuable?

3. points 2 and 3 are linked i.e. CIZ tried to use the same test on different cancers but identified a different reagent would be preferable?

4. progress is being made ('scaling up' 'commercial' 'insurance codes') but folk are just impatient and don't realise how long the process takes?

Unless you have sector experience (I don't) and /or an inside line to the BOD (I don't), it's all guesswork. One thing is certain, AS is playing his cards close to his chest. I like the understated approach. He has a good track record, so I trust him to deliver to the best of his ability. However, I understand that other folks may have lost trust, and that is a personal thing for them, and it is hard to regain once lost.

Is the significance in the use of wording 'commercial' and 'commercial grade components'? Is this as opposed to lab spec / prototype i.e. now producing a first batch of test kits that are the same spec as envisaged for sale, and running trials using these?
