Redco, personally I'll be retiring soon so that's why I've not left don't want to start another job. Think royal mail can afford a decent pay rise why go through the next few months with uncertainty and basically just annoying everyone, we all worked through covid when many were scared to leave there houses, luckily all in my office came through it all tho a few nearly died from it...rm have paid out loads to shareholders and bought back loads of shares so there was money then but not for the postman
My vote is in and I back the union, can only give my opinion of my office and work load, I'd say we all work very well everything gets done every day and generally a good group of postman, however the demands on us are more n more every year and most postman are either fit as a butchers dog or totally knackered at the end of the round and good for nothing except rest till the next day
Short term possiblely a turkey drill and horeshill hh1 water injection, medium term Loxley and maybe another well at horeshill and turkey, longer term the new gas storage project , probably more to get on with but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment
2% bk dated to April is the £200... not good enough, maybe 5% would be a better deal.. 2% no deal
Arsenal I work in delivery, ie front line, don't know where others work ..
Agree with that 2 full yorks of packets to do whilst delivering letters and flats etc , 2 hours prep and load up in a inadequate size van, then 6 hours outside flat out delivering even in this heat and some on here think we walk slow and take are time they are well under informed.. I will say tho management that I've seen over the years have been mediocre
Don't agree , I am a postman and I know everyone in my office will vote with the union
Postman will back the union
