Don't believe everything you read on message boards. Despite all the technical analysis and recycled news, most people don't know anymore than we do. I've held Star for three and a half years and it's the same old story. All hype. Great opportunity for a top up etc Great news just around the corner etc 5p by Christmas etc One for the long term lol

Well I hope you're right LeMajor. I've been holding my 250,000 plus Star for over 3 years. Just another 3 years to go !! At least we're holding up around the 3p mark & volumes have increased lately.

Great opportunity to top up. Big news is just around the corner. LOL. Expect 5p before the end of the week. 10p by Christmas.

I've held Star for over 3 years and every few months we here from the experts on here that something big is just around the corner. Guess what? The SP rises. Another deal with the UN or Bosch is about to happen. Guess what? The SP rises. Al the way to over 3 pence then within hours back down again. This has happened so many times over the last 3 years that I'm beginning to think that it's all being engineered by people wanting to make a quick buck. It's certainly worked. Despite all the great news and technical brilliance of STAR it's SP is exactly the same now as it was when I bought into it 3 years ago.

A great week so far for Star based on extremely positive news. Let's hope the SP continues to fall to give us even greater opportunities to 'top-up'. And the further it falls the more we can buy. Superb.

I've held Sirius Minerals shares a long time Legobrickgirl, and they are starting to come good. Bought them the same time I bought Star as a long term bet. They soared up then dropped back because of a right's issue but Star have never really got going. I'm getting a bit fed up of being drip-fed 'Crop X' this and 'Bosch' that etc etc. I'll probably hold on til Christmas but I'm becoming a little bit disillusioned with Star.

I've held this share for 3 years and it's worth less now than it was worth then. Every 6 months we get posters ramping the share up (probably Star employees) blinding us with technical details and patronising anyone who dares question their wisdom. The share then goes over 3 pence then guess what? It comes tumbling down again. If this happens again I'll be offloading all my Star holdings next week.

Ive held STAR shares (250,000) for almost 3 years. They always seem to rise before an update then drop back afterwards. Obviously I'm too thick to understand why. I always thought SP's rose on good news (eventually) and fell on bad. That's what happens with my other shares. Thanks for (not) clearing that up.

How about some STAR World Cup Stickers. A free sticker with every 1000 shares. Should send the SP up a treat.

Starcom is testing my patience too but given that I've held them for over 2 years I'll be Keeping The Faith. Let's see what happens in the next 6 months.

My Starcom shares are worth exactly the same now as they were over 2 years ago. All this 'fantastic' news appears to have no effect on the SP. Give it 6 more months then I'll think about offloading.

If this is the reaction to good news I hope we don't get any bad. I'm just forgetting about my Starcom. Come back in 6 months.

I don't see any panic sell off here. What's happened is the inevitable. As someone said, it should have been done months ago. Acacia is a bit of a gamble, should an agreement be reached I would expect £3 pretty quickly. It's a bit cat & mouse at the moment. Wonderful but frightening.

Some of these African governments like to shoot themselves in both feet then blame ' The West' for providing the bullets. Plus ca change....

I can't see these corrupt illegitimates climbing down from anything...apart from a tree, maybe.

The probability of a deal being done is much higher than the probability of a deal not being done. What kind of 'deal' that will be of course is a completely different matter. The Tanzanian government will be well aware that if Barrick starts closing down operations, others will follow.
