Phase 3 in Japan! They must be confident of success. this is the hardest place to get drugs to the market and their drug agency is notoriously rigorous, even down to wanting to know the amount of workspace used to test and manufacture the drug! wish i'd held on now! :(
Bid rumour? Any ideas who's being touted as the company involved? ParanoiaBlue, I think a small raspberry may be blown in my general direction. Still as i always say, a profit is a profit. Damn.....
yep a good return but its only small amounts I trade in. will need a few more like this to recover paper losses on retail/banks/builders in the portfolio! looks like its still rising though, so good luck and lets hope the celistat drug trial is successful and you can then blow a large raspberry at me for ditching early!
decided to sell, 27% profit not to be sniffed at, and this share has given me the jitters since i've held it. I can't see the reason for the rise, but i suspect with the sunday times saying funding was ok and the recent boardroom change this may be pushing up the price.
That surprised me, was expecting profit taking and a slump today. Still more buying than selling, tho nothing spectacular. Dunno why but I feel there may be good news. just a gut feeling and purely speculation. this is surely a bit late to be a readjustment from the bad news of the last couple of months?
Any reason for this drive upwards, is a news release imminent? No big buys all small trades?
possibly, seems to have stopped dropping for the mo. I think this is a longer term thing, until positive news comes out it may only drift along. the last news really freaked investors. as a pharma company u expect to take a few failures so the large drop was a bit of an over-reaction.
Must stop bumping into you on these share boards, you obviously have the same poor taste in shares as me! :( Interesting reading on the AZM site, i work in pharmaceuticals and know how much these trials cost to complete and was glad to read that AZM use other companies to progress their drugs. The areas they are in look promising but maybe only 1/3 of late stage pipeline may be successful/highly profitable from experience. Hopefully in this case i'm wrong....
anyone any idea how long before the clinical trial results for the next development drugs will be posted and does alizyme foot the bill for these trials?
Thats pretty much the way i feel, just trying to be reasonable in a positive tsunami of doom and gloom. i still dont think persimmon will go under, and thats not rose tinted glasses cause i own shares, i just think they are positioned better the others in the sector.
I'm hoping the news isn't as bad as tw. or bdev! I don't think there will be many positives, maybe a note on cashflows, debt management and any cost savings/restructuring that has gone on and maybe an opinion on future growth prospects. there could even be a dividend cut/no dividend. with housebuilders the way they are just now, its really hard to say what the update will contain. there was the rumour that bovis would be taken over a couple of months back, but would they risk any funds for takeovers at this point, i doubt it? As for the SP, maybe worth a gamble for a quick rise, but could easily drop sub 200 if the outlook is bleak.
watching this for ages, sold some rift shares y'day, thought bout putting the money in here and didnt. damn damn damn. yet another stunning decision lol!
was just told by a vietnamese colleague of mine that persimmon is a type of fruit he enjoys eating when he visits the home country! he also said it can be used to treat high blood pressure, totally the opposite of owning these shares then....
The poles have gone because the eastern european wages are increasing, so working here is not such the cash cow that it was. the builders are being laid off cos why build more homes than the market requires, all builders are doing and have been announcing that is what they will do until the housing slump reverses. PSN has been taking measures since last year to cut costs and streamline the business for the short term due to the crisis that has been unfolding. Look at its figures, short term there will be no growth, long term it is in a strong position and will rebuild, in more ways than one!
