BBC report names other factories & shows more to come for sure
"'Tip of an iceberg' Meg Hillier, chair of the Public Accounts Committee, said the fraudulent activity revealed by the BBC appears to be "the tip of an iceberg" and the sums involved could represent "hundreds of millions of pounds" in lost tax revenue adding: "HMRC have really got to look into this." HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) said it was unable to comment on specific individuals or businesses."
"According to Good On You, a fashion ratings app that evaluates brands on various ethical and environmental standards including fair wages, supply chain transparency and use of eco-friendly materials, the answer is no: “Boohoo is not taking adequate steps to ensure payment of a living wage for its workers” it clearly states on the website. The organisation recommends that shoppers avoid the brand. If you like Boohoo’s fashion offerings but dislike the brand’s disregard for its workers, the environment and communities, here are some ethical brand alternatives to Boohoo"

MarkyMark101 We are only allowed to post positive news as too many wearing horse blinkers. I post both positive & negative but as soon as you post the news of the day being negative you are a de ramper apparently. I posted a great positive post yesterday. We don’t effect the SP here. If you don’t mind volatility the n Boohoo is a great buy. But if this news I’d on BBC & repeated through other media outlets then guess what thousands of investors will read this. It’s called being informed!

What it is reminding people of is Boohoo has a dirty supply chain linked to slavery & now money laundering & VAT fraud - albeit indirectly - the press won’t let this go until they clean it up (which they are doing)
“Before it folded in 2017 it had a capacity to produce 30,000 garments a week. Its biggest customer was Boohoo, which it dealt with through another company.
Boohoo initially said T&S Fashions was neither a direct nor indirect supplier but when it was told the other company’s name, it confirmed they had done business with it.
Boohoo also said it had concerns about “unauthorised subcontracting” by suppliers and had already commissioned an auditing firm to map out its supply chain.”
wyndrum no I'm still out but trying to show I'm positive about the upside as people think I'm negative. I personally am out for reasons of volatility as you know, but anybody not worried about that should see the positive upside of their risk/reward on investing.
OK good point. But do you as a first time investor want a balanced view of positive & negatives? I do. When you buy a PC, tablet, car, house, TV, gadget etc you look at pros/cons to choose the best one?
If ANYBODY was spooked into selling please let us know here & IF so how many shares you sold - comical folks think this BB makes an impact. I'm sure Joe Bloggs who sold 1,000 shares is killing the SP. Do people really think this BB makes ANY difference to the SP?
