5th May Results for Y/E 28th Feb 202120 Apr 2021 16:34
So we know the state @ 6 months mid point from RNS was good
We know there was a lockdown in 2nd 6 months increasing spending
We know the high street has limited options
Other things in last 6 months:
- Spent cash on Burton’s etc
- Spent cash on Debenhams
- Spent cash on new warehouses
- Spent cash on flashy new London office
- Spent cash on legals cleaning supply chain
- Higher costs to sell in EU & US
- Unemployment has increased in demographic served
We’ve also seen ASOS grow significantly (from high street & BOO)
So as long as Feb 28 revenue out paces the massive spending spree & there is growth this should do ok but if not and analysts see a lot of spend for lesser growth then that would explain a slow sell off pre results
Need to look at both viewpoints of positive & negative
Wouldn’t want to call this one but GL
