Technicals look good too. It's just bounced off the lower pennant for the third time. The RSI has just bottomed and the MACD has just turned bullish. The 20 ema is just about to cross over the 50 ema to another buy signal.
David Buik was on LBC this morning stating how, after 21 years, Ocado still hasn't made a profit.
He specifically mentioned the new scheme of trying to get small amounts of shopping to customers within 30 mins but still faced efficiency issues.
Have you considered the people who genuinely feel the repayments have taken over their lives to the point where they cannot genuinely afford them and would prefer to see Amigo go under as revenge? I'm sure there are people who feel this way.
However, I personally believe the SOA will pass.
Mouse - are you honestly suggesting that any of JPs investment havent gone belly up? Look at Asiamet resources, they average about 8p and have done for 4 years. I personally believe AMGO will come good but there is a good chance of success. JP, like you or I, do research, but no-one is infallible.
Golfgains - I'm not suggesting there were any rogue staff but culture doesnt change over night, it takes constant work for senior management to embed the principles they want.
Although I agree with the general sentiment of your thesis there are a couple of corrections I would make.
1 - suggesting this is a new company is incorrect. Anyone who has worked in a medium / large company knows culture takes time to change. It will take time to re-invent themselves.
2 - you wonder why big IIs didnt sell with there investment doubling? Because large IBs, for example, would have to create an investment thesis for buying and selling. If these were traders, rather than the Asset Management, then I'd partly agree. But a two week investment isnt how IBs do business, even if they were wrong.
Franky - I didnt mean to hit a nerve. However, falling from an intraday high of 20p (or close of 17p ish) and falling into the 9s within two weeks is a substantial fall. This is a falling knife.
If the fall wasnt so substantial then you wouldn't have been so rocked by my comment.
How much are you down?
Frankly - I appreciate its tough to hear a contrarian view when everyone is heavily invested. But this is still a falling knife. In an ideal world, this would go up in a straight line and we'd all make a ton of cash, but as thaw points out, AMGO isnt that type of share.
To be fair, making 5k profit when this has risen only a few times in the past year is good going. I wonder how many people are under water and would love to walk away with 5k.
Something tells me sharesrising is perhaps one of those people whose missed the spike and bites at any contradictory views to his own.
