Just reusing his header. Just a thought, some of the complaints directed at the "Latest Share Chat" side bar could be solved by ensuring only one post per ticker is seen in the latest share chat. Something like PXS would remain at the top but would allow other shares to occupy 9 slots. Perhaps better than the current format of the latest post, often all related to the current flavour of the month/week/day/hour. It could potentially reduce bandwidth costs as the share chat column would list the ticker name and latest posts with it and perhaps not be subject to constant changes.
Just an observation, TIE you have been posting info similar to CT8 regarding oil hitting $55 (see previous page) and both of you have expressed that fundamentals will be followed. Though my question to that is why then does the stock market not follow fundamentals either. Some would argue when PE values of companies are being repriced, the market itself should be similar. Back to oil, ND take it your day trading oil? The move last week was rather unfortunate if peope were caught in it negatively. I think TIE plays an interesting game as he is able to hold and cover all unless there are huge movements (similar to last week). Works quite well but unfortunately not for everyone if you do not have the margin to cover it. TIE - question for you, your longs do you run a stop on them and if you do at what levels. Why is this important? It sets out your strategy to others who may be trying to use similar but do not have the same base. i.e swing trading with enough to margin to cover is different from day trading.
Last one was fine bahman. If it's imageshack just copy the "Direct link" box
Watch and wait atm for a number, the spike on the farm roll numbers was quite stellar. $ beginning to push upwards as well but indices tapering that move somewhat. Shame never around much for the afternoon recently!
Since the morning Indices have been a bit aimless, i believe the volume is low today which is usual for a holiday weekend. German/French market were of yesterday and probably took today as well. Pump into close might be on the cards. Oil i'm beginning to change my mind a little, might be on the next leg up but high $60-61 on the (daily brent future) is current short play
Funny old market isn't it ;p SnP broke 900 again perhaps a pump into close. Gonna have to look at it again, will still look at a short on oil at around $60 but with an appropriate stop
KIS - Thinking similar to you and targeting levels to short from across the indices, looking at market reversal confirmation this week but the same can be said of the previous few weeks. Playing it how it looks, even if it is rather choppy. Oil is looking a little weak as well, seemed to have bounced off $60
Still holding the short bahman? This could be the start of a minor correction will have to see tomorrow but one of those days where should have acted as planned on the weekend!
It's been suggested by some that the DAX is a lot easier to trade, less volatile than the US/UK and is more agreeable with charting. May get back into the indices here after the rollercoaster that is known as the US markets!

I was <--this close--> to shorting at $1000 with a stop. Hindsight trading is a wonderful thing
Gold taking a little bit of a back seat the last week or so and continuing that trend while this rally plays out. Might well provide an opportunity to top up on a number of miners or even a long on the spot price / ETF
Hello again Admin Just a shorter request this time, can links/urls be enabled in General chat. They are clickable in the individual share pages however in General chat you have to copy and past the link into the url bar. i.e http://www.lse.co.uk or www.lse.co.uk I wondered if this was disabled due to a worries about spamming, however as the share boards are the most visible and active there shouldn't be as much of a problem in General chat Kind Regards
Keeps missing my limit order! Seems to be a good spot, charts looking good at this setup. Might have to set a manual entry for this and leave it to run!
I would second the motion to merge currencies with Indices, they tend to drive each other and would be a good area to drive more traffic to.

XTAN are the nil paid rights allowing you to take the RI placing at 210p. Very crudely Nil paid + RI = XTA share price. XTAN closed at 85p + 210p = 295p. XTA closed at about 298p
Just like to say looking much better now with fewer categories. I might suggest adding mining to the oil/gas and gold? Look forward to integration with left hand menu if that's still on the cards, especially if this includes indices for those who trade those.
Just a suggestion, lately there has been a lot of chat on the FTSE/DOW spreading crossing over various forums. Perhaps there's a possibility of setting up a share page template for either of the above (or combined). This would provide a quick win of consolidating the indices chat and also providing an instant link into the "Latest Share Chat" navigation. It might even draw the talk of gold and oil towards it as discussions often revolve on how the three move in relation to each other. There is an Indices sub forum but like the other sub-forums a little under utilised and possibly more for wider ranging topics?.
Perhaps there's a possibility of having general chat/useless chatter forum that links into the left hand side navigation. Preferably under it's own sub heading with the last 2-3 message displayed, so it acts like the "Latest Share Chat" navigation. It might prevent some of the boards, namely the banks and the odd flavour of the week, being filled up with general chatter and hiding topic related posts. The general chat area is accessible under the Share chat link but unfortunately that's a step too far for some people. Might also suggest amalgamating some of the sections available under General chat and direct some of the chat into these areas where they would be more suitable. Currently each sector has it's own board but very little content putting people off from posting. If there's a method of linking new topics into Latest Share Chat navigation or something similar then content may start filtering into relevant areas.
