That was my feel Prime re Te8 and the damaged well. Is there anything to stop them sinking another drill 200m from Te8 and just taken it carefully to the Tagi and 'discover' a commercial well? Even if it was relatively limited in potential and flow it would in my view make a massive difference in the confidence and belief to investors and would support the seismic work to date giving it more credence and thus value.

Thanks Frank, very useful

Brian Michener in his interview today stated that the basin was not different from Algeria and that it was an extension of that in Algeria
same reservoir, same paleo, same salt cap - its exactly the same (as Algeria)
Tell me if I am wrong but I am sure that it has been stated on a number of occasions that Morocco is NOT the same as Algeria and we should not therefore compare the successes there with Morocco
I am inclined to believe Brian...................

Bird in hand - train beer accident!
Thanks Ozzie Lets get the bird in the bush and then look at the potential massives later - doing that will mesn we have a large bid on the table before we try to ‘play’ with the Paleo Wonder where we would be today if they had left it at the Tagi at Te-8 and squeezed a gas flare there for a week or two! H
Ozzie On train so cant easily check but was that not where we went wrong with Te-8 in that we carried on for the Paleo and damaged the opportunity in the Tagi? Or just my lousy memory....... H
Blade What you say has been my gut feel for a little while. Whether true or not we will find out in the course of events. Just seems to have been a lot of work in the background on the larger infrastructure and related arrangements. There are as many reasons why this may not be the case but I do have the same feeling about it..... H
On a calmer note, the information from last week answered all the questions that could (reasonably) be answered at this time. In the background for any investor in an O&G exploration operation is the idea that they just run out of money when everything is almost there. That has been part of the 'fear' posts recently or 'the funding issue'. As an investor you should never forget that scenario but the skill that the SOU management is showing in how they are managing that whilst opening potential other opportunities is impressive. Simultaneously they have continued to build value in the asset by the way that they have built relationships and infrastructure - the book The Prize has been mentioned a few times on this Board and it is a great reference to help understand that an asset sitting there has a certain value but how you build and structure the deal that surrounds it is at least as important. My ramp is over but then again it is just observing the facts we have? GLA H
Thanks for your concern, shouldn't drink white wine on a sunny afternoon in Manchester perhaps! Just not used to it I suppose... Couple of comments earlier about the SP dropping stuck in my mind so just thought I would have a sarcastic rant! Cant see how the professionals that post this crap on here keep it up! Anyhow, normal quiet service resumed tomorrow. On the train to London anyway so that slows things down a bit.............. Actually quite like the SP suppressed as I dont want to be tempted to do anything silly like sell some shares until LE! GLA H
at the lack of an RNS! What's gone wrong! What are they doing FFS! Have they nothing better to do than not issue RNS's!!!!! No wonder the SP has gone down - how can they expect anyone to think we are a real business if we don't issue RNS's Bloody Pathetic Oh, and JP sold some shares Etc, etc H
20% up on last week though The way JP is pulling rabbits out of the hat it is far from impossible for him to come up with a deal to sell at well over 1 I am happier sitting on my hands But if the day traders are happy making their living the way they do then I am ok with that Have a good weekend all (Wouldn't want to be out over the weekend etc!) H
A couple of days ago it was virtually a first post almost innocently saying that he was reconsidering his position and then a flow of negative comments. Almost exactly the same thing that we have seen time and time again. It is almost like the baton gets passed on. Not sure that I ever believed the 'Derampers manual' that has been shared previously but there is certainly a consistency about all of this. Possibly some paranoia on my part but surely there cant be that many people who can think of nothing better to do but post continually on a board about a share that they are not invested in (or dont want to be invested in)? Has the FCA ever investigated this sort of thing? Their posting wont affect my investing decisions but seems a waste of effort and no doubt creates doubt in those of a nervous disposition. And before a clamour of posts about being a fan and free speech, I am more than happy to hear both sides of the story and indeed SWB250 was right to highlight the issues around JP's trading plan and the CIP changes but once the point was made then perhaps enough? H
Hi Rush, done some biking there on a hire bike (CB500 - rock and roll!) but really nice riding roads and country. Agree with all your thoughts, probably a biker thing - stay chilled, what will be will be. Try to make the right choices and live with them. You can see why the pressure of those with an agenda pressures people but dont let this share malarkey rule your well being is a good ethos. I have a few shillings in this albeit I have reduced my average over time but we will see how things pan out soon. H
To be fair I think SLB would have made their views known by now if they thought pants were being pulled down. Those old Americans like a bit of litigation ...................... H
Indeed, free speech is the most easily abused right going. It relies on the idea that those speaking don't have ulterior motives. It is almost embarrassingly obvious that for a period three posters came up with almost anything to cause consternation and then stopped almost as if a switch had been flicked. The tirade of posts from those who claimed they had no interest was astounding. And then virtually nothing. If that doesn't suggest someone should look into this then I think there is a level of innocence on this board that doesn't jibe with other postings by some members. I believe that if the administrators didn't look into this the it would be down to the FCA at some point. I even get 250's comments to a degree - he had believed all he had been told and built theories around it and when the theory and apparently reality didn't match up then he got very angry (and remains so). The bit I don't get is why people feel they need to tell shareholders the same things continually. This is a board to debate information - surely we should debate that information, agree or not and then move on. I hold enough SOU shares to keep me interested but I don't get the panic. If it doesn't feel right then move on. If the risk looks too great then move on. If you accept it is what it is then keep an eye on what is happening and make your decisions as things become clearer. A lot is going on and there will be plenty more factual information to debate soon........ H
Agree Roybar, been meaning to say something similar. The only thing I would be interested in hearing from 250 is when the 'secret' that he knows about will come to fruition. If he can answer that then that would be on moderate interest as it would finalise his posts from long ago. All the recent stuff is pointless moaning - we all know about the detail that he keeps mentioning. H
Bed now, but the idea that Mooncheese is going to contribute useful information to these proceedings is something I have to deride so I may sleep happy! From manic ramper at some lunatic price (65?) to I have sold out and then to todays efforts. As I posted earlier to CoverDrive - please don't treat us like idiots. Goodnight H
You really, really, really have to be joking. Months, weeks and days of corrosive negative comments and then this. You have no shame but then why would you when there is profit involved? Suddenly you believe there is too much emotion around this share which you have helped stoke. Astounding. I hope that this is the end of any slight credibility you had. No doubt you will shed your emotional concerns at the turn of the trading cycle. H
Mr Fox, I think you will find I didn't offer any advice. You are more than keen to provide advice but once again I am unsure about your motivations in doing this. Your certainty about SOU is impressive and indeed seems to be as inspired by the same semi fanatical beliefs that you suggest the LTH's hold. The fact is that you know no more than anyone else on here and you interpret it in your own way. You lost money here in the past and that is sad and I would not gloat about this, its unpleasant when it happens but unfortunately it does happen as this is a market. Still unclear about your ultimate objective in posting here but I assure you that I dont want or need your advice nor indeed your gloating about how much money I have lost. Try and be a little more sensitive and access your caring side. H
Discussed a million times but just before I set off to work in the sun I thought I would add a few words. You would think that nobody would take pleasure from watching others lose money but sadly a handful clearly do. It isn't pleasant to have a paper loss on any share (and I have had a few in my time including Fortune Oil, Emerald Energy and my old favourite Tadpole Technology) but happily paper losses can end up in substantial financial gains. The bit that concerns me is the concerted effort over an extended period of time to use half truths and allegations on the edge of slander about Sound and its staff. Why and to what purpose does this tirade continue? We are talking about serious amounts of time and effort here including those involved taking the time to review other posters histories. It really is a sign of some spitefully nasty people or something more than this. I do not subscribe to the theory that posts on this (and similar) websites do not have an impact. Empires are being built around the use of social media to influence people and there is probably no more focused place in social media on the internet to try and impact on the decision making of personal investors regarding SOU than this site. You only have to feel the fear and panic that infects this site as the price falls and the same group accelerate their posting, repeating the same 'facts' time after time to take advantage of this. The same of course is true to a degree of the rampers. At least however they are clear about what their ultimate goal is (usually an expensive car). The real difference is that the group on here who post so often and so vociferously is that they do not have an ultimate goal. That is really, really odd. Pretty good reasons for a concern about a conspiracy I feel............ H
