Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Just a big shout out to Norbert trutleburger who has piggybacked on the success of better men . He managed to run Bwin into he ground I hope he slinks down in his chair every board meeting when he sees how a company should be run. It also shows activists what can happen when a useless board is replaced.
Good to see some of the ridiculous strategies opined by the previous board are being overhauled. The vanity projects of Norbert with regards expensive elite sponsorship are being reviewed I presume on the way to being dropped and grass roots advertising, see prime time Foxy casino adverts, are being pushed to the front. This company has so much potential because of the previous catastrophic BOD. It shows me the hubris if some of these CEO's they pursue strategies that wreck institutions but instead of stopping they persist feeling it's up to the world to conform to them. Norbert should be ashamed at every board meeting as he sees this turnaround.
Being a long suffering BWIN holder i see light at the end of the tunnel... Having looked through the results in depth its looking good, apart from some steep net senior debt at, what in our current macro environment, is a heady 11.5% with Cerebus, but the cash position, produced from the equity and loan issue during procurement, has left them with a healthy leeway. The crux of success in this is the ability to turn around lagging indicators in the BWIN products. The track record can be seen in Sportingbet a 300% turnaround from 2012 to 2015. The downside to II is when a dividend will be re-instated in 2017, if we lived in a world where we view things in hours and minutes then i'd say we would be a prize asset once we see Synergies, but I'm not sure that is how things work at the moment. So the upshot this stock has pros and cons: proven management team skilled in turnaround and innovative in this sector , cons no dividend causing lack of interest by II.
Good results strong cash position obviously minus acquisition costs, GVC always keen to pay a dividend so will be a company the markets will like as they look more and more for yield. But as per the title .... Partypoker had an increase in revenue !! That is a rare event not something that has been reported for many years under Norbert's reign.
I have had a search on the web but I can't place the information, so I'm not being lazy, but does anybody have the markets expectations for earnings on the new combined entity which is GVC?
Knackers BWIN up for many a year and then starts out as a Non Exec Director by selling.... sends a great signal to the market about his new post, NOT. Probably missing his undeserved CEO wage from BWIN. Least he could have done is show confidence by purchasing shares in this new venture, i can't believe this guy, after his results, is on any board in the gaming sector.
http://www.digitallook.com/news/press-round-up-short-premium/sunday-newspaper-round-up-bwinparty-scotland-greece--812205.html back in with another offer upped by over 10%. Anybody know if we will be asked to vote on any proposition?
Shhhh , we don't want anyone reminded how rubbish our BOD are. All I can say is 888 must have done due diligence and seen with good management, which they have and the synergies, there is value. Bwin hold a large sportsbook in Germany and have said in the past that once the German legislate change their attitudes they will be frontrunners. I'm not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes I've been in this from partygaming days but I see a regime change and a pooling of players as a good thing. One last thing Bwin failings have been more to the too transparent side , their statements have been brutally honest , so I think the chances of finding grim lurking under the bed is less.
Reports today are that Ader brought in 888 to the table as the best solution for shareholders and is his preferred option. The Times article has some errors in it on Aders SP entry point but regardless he sees benefits in the synergies up to his buy in price and beyond so for long termers like me and crookman we may have been presented with a chink of light.
Crooks as a long time holder like you my only hope is a mix of cash and shares plus no board position for tefllonburger. Saying that post merger usually entails a SP drop until fundamentals have been established , wouldn't be good to get 50% in shares then watch that half in price as well. I think 888 with its synergies would be he best combination of companies for post merger stability.
http://calvinayre.com/2015/07/13/business/888-holdings-to-convince-bwin-party-for-a-takeover/ come let's just for once see this board try and do right by the owners of this company the shareholders. One good thing I'll make money if Norbert ever joins another board, I'll stick a short on straight away.
Thanks for the reply , yes seems reasonable but even knowing how useless this BOD is I can't imagine they won't move for a better price as its a derisory offer
Reading this its not clear is it an out and out takeover or a merger? Or it could be some type of cash and shares deal , but I've not had any experience in this type of hybrid purchase , is it a cash offer plus shares or is that the total offer with that days share price bring allowed for? Anyone got any light to shine.
Norbert starts out with one worth £3 billion. Yeah great deal what a Pillock he is if he and the BOD accept this offer.
The thing is that it makes a mockery of capitalism that your cr6p you pay no consequence and carry out a blatant wealth transfer from the many to the few. Like any corrupt ediface these idiots think they can chip away over and over. The results are as in America share ownership by PI is at a historic low. Not easy feeding in the sea when it has only sharks.
This is probably the first time ever a tip on a BB has come through. If I had a quid for every: news us coming soon and it will be huge .... I'd be able to exit bwin without a loss. But fair dues wing called it and did us a favour so thanks for that. Obviously we want any and all insider news you get from now on
I'm gutted I'm in Mauritius was prepared to dial in to see if I could ask some pertinant questions of old Norbert but I am currently sat in the hospital with my better half. Seems like it would all have been a waste of time giving him a hard time its fait a complis anyway.
I have injected a considerable sum of £ 50.00 to Norbert if would p155 off and let someone else run this company. £50 May not seem a lot, but taken that we may get a CEO who had not deminated market cap by 400% it is worth every penny.
You and I both know that Norbert is the Wiley coyote.
Crookman , Kamel don't tempt me, a verbal hand grenade might be in order though.
