Please don’t despair for the sp....it will recover and G has everything any sound investor wishes for.
The market is now looking for growth in every company and we will get there...I think fairly soon and still hoping to get sp £3 by end of 1H. The new ceo is an absolute what G needs now, dividends coming fast, plenty of assets to explore and grow the company,increasing production but needs to show, balance sheet is very strong, oil fields are well protected by the yanks in spite of where it is located and who knows we might even be bought with big premium.some thing positive must happen.
I am still holding and haven’t sold a single share of G.
G shares will be the last in the pack to sell or reduce.
I am just thinking loud!
Tomorrow is another day and I can see blue colour rays...

I agree now that op is significantly related to G sp until it progresses on the expansion and growth with tangible increasing oil production and gets some gas news. This will then make the sp less dependent on op but for now the op and G are very closely related.....agree with Boyo on this.
Trumpy is a big factor here and that is why I want to hear G announcement on increasing growth to compensate this man op manipulation or repeated attempts of manipulation.

Let us hope OP recovers today to stabilise the Share price and more growth news to see G progress upwards.

G regurgitated half of lts gains yesterday so far more than many other oilies....over excitement yesterday didn’t last.
After all there was no positive news as some here believed of yesterday rns and believed that was the beginning of accelerating sp upwards....sorry it was just another short term recovery of catching up for the undervalued energy shares and G gained more yesterday because it has been lagging for a while in comparison to others.
Today back to reality and I feel the market is looking for growth and expansion tangible progress and then sp will travel far.

Just to clarify what. I meant selling half of my holdings( equal to cash of half of my portfolio worth).....I have now 12 holdings in total...G and Pmo are biggest chunks though recently sold abit of pmo at good price.
Selling half in May does not necessarily means G unless I feel I reached my target with it ....I am not greedy or long term investor either so I sell when I make good profit (target) or reach a stop loss level I set on each stock to cut my losses.
This strategy worked very well for me.....not attached to any share emotionally....I always remind myself that I am only here to make money!
As JL mentioned when the stock market tumble or an opportunity of very oversold stock then you have the cash to bounce on it . Summer months are full of opportunities when you will need cash ready!

Hi JL...I always sell half and stay in cash with increasing holdings gold mines....already bought Fres and ACA after sell ing half of my Enq holding with a handsome profits!

Hydrogen..today’s news is vague and lacks certainty with no prospect of growth or expansion in gas soon . The market is looking for certainty and news like this I consider not good for sp but today coincided with strong op rise and the declaration of M Stanley how severely energy stocks are currently undervalued to the current op.
Where is the poitive news in today’s rns.
I am not complaining as I am more than delighted whatever the reason to push sp up as every point rise worths huge sum to my investment in G.
Just try again to look at G share price with others movements in their sp when op price moves up or down today!

The energy stocks are all up strongly. The respnse to op and Morgan Stanley wealth today views on energy stocks in general.
In fact G initial reaction to today news was negative but rallied after Morgan Stanley.
Just look at other energy stocks like pmo,enq,hur..etc...all are having strong rally today.
Today news was not positive imo...but luckily op and Morgan Stanley came to the rescue.

Yes absolutely...we need the market to realise G real value and Morgan Stanley is reminding them of all these undervalued energy stocks.

I do not see this as positive but rather than vague and the market may not react well to it...but npv has not changed though the market wants something more concrete than this wait and see what happens!

Not deluded at all....you stated facts and I will add the Bristow et..al..are in the wings to bounce on ACA at the cheapest price possible and shafting the pi if they can ,unless the Chinese gets interested and show their money.
To me it is going in the right direction from this very sp. it is a win win situation in any scenario. GOT needs to show their flexibility and understanding of international laws and orders regarding investment and to encourage the IMF to improve its views on the current government Or Tanzania economy will go caput...
Do I see danger...yes but significantly less now and more positive news expected before the arbitration deadline in August.

Well.... How low can this share go!
The fallout with GOT caused the sp to crash,otherwise all is well and very undervalued in every metric.
I think we have seen the worse and all negative news has now been declared and predicted fears are over. The only way left is a reverse of sp upwards with any possible positive news or real ones. It does not make sense to bring so many new talents on the management unless something big is expected and must be good to move this company forward,otherwise it does not make sense or logical to do this!
I am new here but very positive that this is being sorted out fairly soon and in every one interest and really it is as important to ACA as to the reputation and international standing of Tanzania.
I bought large chunk of shares today and confident of a good resolution soon and big payday.
