Back to more positive mood and what Ivy posted this morning which was great and I do like your posts and many others too...very balanced and constructive..
I think we must have reached the bottom of the sp or very near and a bounce up is coming with any stabilising or positive forthcoming news.
Next week may be revealing.
Motif will survive and will be on right path soon and it will not make any sense to abandon Iclaprim...no way this can happen imo.
I have added more on Friday at 3.30p as I can see this a multi baggers investment.
It is just my opinion.

The overall new drugs applications approval by fda 2018 ...14% approved only
Bio pharma sector ....10% approved by fda

No statistics about aim sector in particular..maybe because many of them gets taken over by a bigger brother at trial stages or after partnering with them on less favourable terms and credibility goes to the new identity.

AIM shares are very volatile with uncertainty in their nature...and many examples out there to compare motif volatility to others.
If you look at Faron Pharm sp was +£8.50 a share just over two years ago then down to 54 p and the majority of shareholders gave up then and sold at a very big loss as most felt the demise of the company was inevitable...until recently ,couple of moths ago you could buy them around 60p or below and since then recovering at speed and today the sp £1.59 and expected to climb much further after right issue placing and even before announcing trial success today. No fda approval yet!.
Well Faon pharm burnt a lot of cash and diluted share value in similar way to motif and I can see motif sp climbing in stages and more rapidly once we have the success of the trial results and even before fda coming application for approval....so there are many ways to look at motif in a half glass full.
I am holding both now and very hopeful and I see motif as an opportunity to buy cheap..
Dyor beforehand...and do not lose what you cannot afford and please never put all your eggs in one basket!

Always remember your loss becomes reality when you sell now but otherwise your current loss is only a paper loss and not real ,if you don’t sell now.
Yes dyor as motif is a very high risk shares and don’t buy unless you can afford to lose a lot or all as it is now a big gamble for a massive gains in sp if the bod told us the truth in the last webcast.

It is quite strange to hear from the people who sold and lost real money...advising others to do the same!!

Thinking loud..what can be the endgame here..
Motif may be taken over by a bigger fish to progress with another trial and reap the ultimate benefit.Or
Partnership with another at less favourable outcome. Or
Raising capital by one way or another to fund another trial which may cost less as it would be looking at a fewer parameters. Or
The last possible event ..Goes bust?? But this does not make sense to why ...As it already reached the last hurdle to overcome and surely bod would have presented the company in a different way rather than the more optimistic future “ all bases covered and clear pathway forwards “in the last webcast.

Well to be logical I cannot see the last possible event mentioned makes any sense unless you believe all bod are deceitful and fraudulent! And I cannot accept this as looking at their careers and previous positions ,which do not support this notion.

I do share many of investors thoughts of the need for a new ceo at some stage as I do not accept the over paid ceo and bod, constantly over optimistic ,and under delivering for many years now.

I also believe the main needs for Iclaprim to benefit patients and I hope motif or some others progress it towards other applications too...in CF and ophthalmic toxoplasmosis.

I am optimistic that motif will not go bust and will come out fighting to succeed in raising funds required or taken over or partnering with another. Diluted share value to raise funds would not serve any one and cause severe mistrust by shareholders and the market and will take long time to recovery of shareholders value.

Just a reminder and gives some reassurance that big boys are still holding and none panicked and sold. Surely this is very positive Looking forwards including funds raising.

Funds raise will be no issue unless if you think all those big boys are naive and do not care of losing their millions!

Nothing in all the trials motif undertook before the NDA had shown any severe liver damage.
All the fda wants now ,is further evaluation with more data and the extent and scope of the new trial will be known hopefully soon after motif discussions with fda.

Unwanted speculations that put the impression all doom and gloom without scientific evidence or justification will only cause anxiety and fears for many investors here who are hoping for recovering their loss or at least most of it.
Constructive posts are welcome and negative ones too but based on facts not speculations or deramping to creat unfair anxiety among investors.

I am a new investor and only since last week but really hopeful of stability of sp and good news..

I am going to make this short in response to your post..!
Drug related idiosyncratic reactions are not uncommon in many fda approved drugs and some in fact you can buy over the counter such as Diclofenac tablets and the commonly used prescribed Antibiotics such as CoAmoxiclav.
In regards to Iclaprim Dili and idiosyncratic reactions..the fda wants to re evaluate of further data towards the extent of this to approve Iclaprim and rightly or wrongly with all the trials already done by motif ..this is entirely up to them and to make sure that approval process has been appropriately done.
As you know idiosyncratic drug reaction is unpredictable and not an obstacle to approval as mentioned above with others already approved fda drugs and currently widely used.
It is the e extent of it Which the fda wants to know before approval given.
Dili is very common and many drugs given approval by the fda with their known severe dili such as methotrexate as the massive benefits it gives to most patients using it by its own or in combination. Also methotrexate can cause rarely permanent liver damage,fatty liver,fibrosis and cirrhosis too but used widely with proper labelling.
Fda I repeat is looking for further data to evaluate the extent of all above before approval of Iclaprim and not idiosyncratic reactions or the raised liver enzymes.

Idiosyncratic drug reactions mostly occur after few weeks of stopping treatments and not necessarily during it and it only needs small amount of drug dose for the host to developing it though the new thinking believe the smaller dose may help avoiding it but the previous thought was not dose related.

One expects the sp to rise as the panic selling dries out and this was showing in today dealings as per E..al post earlier on. More buy than sell today with good positive rise in sp on NASDAQ.
Well there is a plan and positive news to come...will be an interesting day dealings tomorrow!

My thoughts of all bases covered and clear path .....etc by GL meant to me that he agreed “maybe “in principles with ii or a partner to fund another trial before he announced the fda decision. This may explain the few days delays after the 30 days passed to hear from the fda.
He wanted in a way to be sure there is a backing to fund the new trial..hence he sounded strangely optimistic and not able to answer clearly.Obviously once he knows what the fda requirement in the new trial is and the number involved ,we will be informed in details about the funding and what is involved, and it will be a very positive news then.
This is my understanding and it sounds plausible?
Really we all are in the dark of what exactly the fda wants and until then we would not know the exact cost nor GL ....but GL told us he had all bases covered and there was a plan forward and will hear it soon. Patience is required here.
Every one involved wants Iclaprim gets approved including the fda mainly for patients desperate for a new antibiotic.

I Read the fda decision as more data about liver raised enzymes, toxicity rather than pure liver toxicity issues and the word to focus on here is the more DATA.
Almost all drugs are metabolised in the liver and can cause liver enzymes rising and may lead to liver toxicity but they are approved by FDA as long as the are manageable and not detrimental to patients safety...so imo it was an opportunity to buy when the sp dived last week and I added this morning as I do not see the fda requesting more data is an obstacle to approval. The need for good antibiotics and the further added usage dimensions of Iclaprim in other serious medical conditions is an absolute bonus.
Let’s not focus mainly on liver toxicity but better on DATA required by the fda in relation to liver enzymes rise and toxicity and then looking at the seriousness of it in the new trial ,though we know it was not a big issue in itself in phase 3 trial completed but rather the lack of follow up and numbers.
I see motif survival and approval on the horizon but like many others here I feel the ceo and his bod need replacing asap and let’s hope this will happen soon in one way or other.
For me there is a great value here for big rewards but not for the faint hearted.
I do hold a large holding for now.
Funding ,partnerships and M&A for now are the priorities to think about.

Over 120k shares and confident more-than any time. Sp goes up or down wouldn't matter as value is getting better and better.

Yes....Totally agree and really I am puzzled by the latest FDA decision on Iclaprim and I have little doubt of the near future approval of Iclaprim.

I may add to my recent purchase tomorrow as I can see either a take over or rapid rise of sp with any stabilising new....please do not take it as a recommendation to buy . I could be completely wrong .

No details yet but will be announced once GL..has a meeting with the FDA to find out what their requirements are in the further data required with a new trial..so wait for MOTIF future announcement in the near future after which we know the size of the fund raise needed by MOTIF for the trial.

Yes that is true of additional issues with Arpida and the changes in FDA processing of a new drug approval (and reached a crescendo with HIV new dugs discovery then) ..though looking at FDA approval process ..it is more concerned about efficiency rather than risks of side effects to approve any drug but obviously they need assurances that the new drug is not detrimental to the patient serious health deterioration and unmanageable side effects and hence the FDA wanting more DATA and assurance from MOTIF in another trial regarding the extent of liver side effects/toxicity.
I do not think the issue of side effects is a major obstacle but the extent of it and the seriousness of it is. A new trial would throw more details as required by the FDA .
As you know QTc prolongation and liver toxicity are well recognised in many approved drugs currently and they are approved by the FDA because they are manageable and monitored and disappear after cessation of drugs.
Please correct me or feel free to upload with a new lights for me and other investors .
