Volatility will continue ,that is stating the obvious, but more moving up than backwards and this will be the same with oil price....
The market represents a generation opportunity to invest very cheaply and make more than any time for decades..
Countries around the world are taking strict measures now....and the fatality curves in many countries are flattened and the markets are now realising this so pushing the markets much lower is going to be a struggle from here...
Oil agreements to stabilise the op is bound to take place or a temporary solution prompting up op that all producers want to see before 31/3...

Boyo...I totally disagree with you and today Genel sp rise in comparison with all oilers and at the low op confirmed its strength and change of sentiment....it was the good day to buy at any point but not good to sell with the exception for day traders where the majority ultimately lose money..
Genl has been a strong buy from its low of around 56 p recently and continues to be a strong buy..
Will see in the coming days and weeks..

The reversal of Dow was sold at its peak towards the last 30 min of trading by margin traders but it looks better for tomorrow hopefully as it did not finish at the low of the session but showed some recovery from its low.
Oil still doing ok so let’s hope it carries on for tomorrow and ftse then should be blue too..

Fear index is in fact slightly down but dow is hugely down so this points to reversal of Dow to recovery..
Oil is picking up as of now and hopefully it carries on which I expect towards tge end of this month before the deadline.
Tomorrow hopefully all in blue..fingers crossed!
At some relief but volatility will continue though more recovery imo..
I rotated today into a few more G but more into gkp as I mentioned previously and big number added to my Hur....
Positive for tomorrow and will be even better towards the end of the week.

This is my take on both...
The current situation is reaching its highest Points of risks for the vulnerable people but not involving the majority of population. The various countries are tackling the virus spread and management are on the right path . More positive are coming out lately than negativity and with recent successful experiences of tackling it in China,south Korea,uae and etc...death rate is coming down in Italy is good but needs more days like today. Treatment by various available drugs are showing some success,more testing and containment measures continue. Pharmaceutical companies are racing a head for finding vaccines and soon there will be one soon with ongoing trials in a very technological advanced world.
Turning on oil prices...volatility yes but it will have to rise or many countries including usa and other oil dependent countries will suffer badly and Trumpy re election hopes will fade away in addition to Dow continued decline....agreement on the horizon and USA recent intervention is a good signal towards ending this oil crisis .
G share price will not stay low as it is now and will cross £1 soon and before the end of this month..
All going in the right direction and more positive than the overwhelming media scaremongering.

Just thinking of these two correlation...so if Coronavirus is spreading and workers in oil industry including processing plants workers got affected as the case recently in south of Iraq when the processing company Petronas just shut without even giving notice to the Iraqi gov ,and all personnel left Iraq as one of the workers tested positive for the virus...this led to 100000 barrel a-day loss for Iraq oil exports .
Then thinking of oil transport methods including pipelines,trucks,ships and rails and if countries go to complete lockdown then perhaps the only methods which can survive is pipeline but not the others...
Well at the end supplies will be dramatically cut and oil price may go up in spite of lower demands to the current estimate of 10 mb a day...
Just another extreme scenario but should not be discounted!

And G may become a good acquisitions by big Americans companies such as Chevron to grow and expand ,as an alternative to the incoming shale capping of their productions...
They could snap it at cheap!
