I quite like that theory Kevin. There is always a lot of tainted/washed money sloshing about in market, some of the groups that have acquired that dosh often have the combined attributes of greed and stupidity. It would certainly explain the massive chunks of buying that went on with no RNS in the early spring !
However, it still leaves the question of why a simple filing "oversight" is taking so long (4 months) to correct?
I remain convinced that W will have taken legal counsel on the issue and that it's an issue for the holder to correct and therefore W will not comment unless it has prescribed requirement or clear business need to do so.
