Onions and shallots store well for at least six months. We have five grown up kids with family, old aunties and uncles, a son who owns a large restaurant, a gang of friends who run one of the towns many soup kitchens.. no waste biggy... I also have a large leek bed with around two hundred babies in for winter soups and stir frys . Fresh leek and cauliflower cheese (stilton) made by mrs bob is why I live with her ;-)
