I'd be interested onow how a SIPP could contain a value over the government limits and not invoke a huge tax penalty? My knowledge is sketchy and I'm not sure anyone would get to such a level in a SIPP.

Pensions are longterm. Depending on age and time to chosen retirement, maybe think about longterm investment. Aim shares are notorious for big falls as well as rises. The rules are relaxed too. Co. Directors can do almost anything and your investment can disappear with little you can do about it. Very small number of funds invest in AIM. Not to say you can't make profits, but don't forget to sell when you do and move on. Fund managers can't all be wrong about AIM. This is not advise, just observation.

I've been in this since before RKH. I can't even remember the name of the company. Anyway, I predict (which is worth nothing), countries will mop up reserves soon. Deals will be done and the race is on to secure oil. Few people have mentioned tanks need diesel (I think) and F35s need kerocene, not batteries! Strategic stocks will bulge in tanks and under the ground. All will be well here
