FTSE Futures currently up circa +50 pts following a late rise on the DOW yesterday. Another small tick up today possible before tomorrows BOE MPC meeting? Interesting that Andrew Bailey and other members of the MPC seem to have been very quite this time in the run up to tomorrows meeting.

I only posted that to show Motley Fool have differing opinions from there "alleged" experts daily on all stocks they write up on. One day one of their "experts" gives reasons he/she would not buy the stock, as was the case yesterday with Lloyds, and then the next day another one of their "experts" gives reasons he/she is buying the stock, as is the case today with Lloyds! Why anyone would pay a subscription to them for their ideas is beyond me! lol

If rates are hiked again Thursday should step the SP up another notch. Then all down to what we get back from Final Results day.

Reading the article in the telegraph, Lloyds are not the only bank lowering their 10 year mortgage rate:

"Other banks have also reduced rates on 10-year loans. This week Halifax has cut the cost of a ten-year fix from 1.93pc to 1.68pc for new buyers with a 40pc deposit, meanwhile Leeds Building Society has launched two 10-year fixed mortgages at rates of 2.08pc and 2.14pc. Last week Virgin Money and TSB also cut their 10-year rates."

I think that Prince Andrew has to go down this route if as he says he is innocent. Settling out of court will only leave doubt as to his innocence and it will always be festering in the background and the Media will always refer to it. The queen has had to endure the attention to many Royal scandals previously in the media involving her immediate family, so I'm sure it will be like "water of a ducks back" to her.
