My own approach is that I trust everybody until they give me a reason not to. I prefer living life with that mindset. I assume most people play by the rules and the vast majority of public company directors are trying their level best to get a positive return for shareholders.
As an AIM director myself I am certainly not going to direct baseless attacks at other AIM directors anyway, as I’d hate to be on the receiving end of similar abuse.
That said, I lost a lot of money at the hands of Dominic White when he took Monreal (a cash shell) and turned it into Eight Capital Partners. My comment that got deleted about his yacht yesterday might have gone because it was mistaken for “slander, outright lies, mockery” etc. It was nothing of the sort. It irks me that he has listed several companies none of which have had material revenues yet off the back of private investors’ cash he’s bought a yacht and a massive house. And having lost a lot in #ECP and watched others lose a fortune in Zamaz/Dispensa and #RTOP and #SYME I’m keen that others wise up to his modus operandi. I also think it is relevant that both the house and the yacht are being sold. I hope this is for personal reasons - perhaps he’s moving somewhere more expensive, or getting divorced, or something. But I fear it might be he’s raising money for fees plotting a more audacious listing and that as with all the other floats private investors will come off worse and the market’s reputation (which as a director is in part my own reputation) will be tarnished.
