I was going to make the same point Truro - you beat me to it. when looking at SRT's results, you must understand the business and the fact that one invoice can be such a significant part of the quoted turnover (for a year or 6 months) that the timing of that invoice can wildly distort the figures.

Big companies tend to give a lot of share based awards to staff and also offer employee share schemes. it's better to deliver those shares from treasury than to issue new ones.

It's always given in the finals and interims - go to the company website and read them.

Watch the presentation. It'll take more than 5 minutes, but if you want to understand the investment it's the best way for you to do so.

The trading statement came 4 months after the IPO, so they can't be inflating projections to get people buying into the IPO.

You obviously know quite a bit about the market they are in, and you could be right, but from known knowns I'd have to say you are very much on the pessimistic side about their future.

They have 250 million shares in the market. The trading statement predicted an annual income of £100m this year. Previous years have seen them achieve 28% return on sales , so we expect the profit to be about £28 million, which would give an EPS of around 11.2. For a growing business a PE of 15 is on the low side, but if we assume that would be a fair value the fair share price should be 168.

Would you like to explain with some calculated logic why you think fair value is 50-60p? Rather than just plucking a figure out of the air, and expecting us to believe it.

The share price is dropping because of the uncertainty over the CEO's Philippines court case.

You say we are still waiting for news as though you expect a new contract to be signed every week. The trading statement in January said the 6 months turnover would be £25.5m. Their best ever annual turnover was £30m (& that was 50% better than the next best year.) Can you do simple arithmetic? Can you see how good this year will be? Additionally they said they had received orders within the 6 months for a total value of £182m. (Can you see how much bigger that is than anything historically?) Plus a £12m contract awarded after the period end. That update was only 6 weeks ago.

I'm not really sure how much better the contractual status could be.

The costs are like any other LSE listed share. Your broker will charge you a broker's fee, then there is stamp duty 0f 0.5%.

If someone new buys most of Bosch's shares - like Delta, or Doosan, or Denso, or Thermax, there will be no subsequent bid because Weichai would block it. If Weichai buy it it will take them over 30% so they will have to make a bid,.

Hi Mike, I was similarly confused by the UT/OEIC world. You may gather from my previous post that I prefer ITs. My view is ITs were designed to help investors. UT/OEICs were designed to help the financial services sector. Prior to the Retail Distribution Review about 10 years ago. UT/OEICs could pay commission to people who sold them If you went to an IFA - guess what kind of funds they would recommend! And at that time UT/OEICs had higher fees. RDR did a lot to bring the 2 closer together. At the end of the day a good investment manager will do a good job; but I still stick to ITs.

You give the majority of them too much credit. Most just see a falling trend and hop on the band wagon, without a clue what the company actually does.
