I missed that, very good point Sonic. Operating profit/EBITDA is worth paying attention to also as we don't know if the margins have been squeezed over the past six months. Not sure on SP's forecast but Numis' is €228.

Numis' target is £13.65 based on full year profit of ~ £180m so in others words they see a p/e of between 5 and 6 as being fair.

Exactly my point. We should not confuse individual expectations with market expectations.

I'm not convinced Shaun. It can be assumed that the market expects around £290m but we simply have no idea how the market will react, especially in the short term. Unless of course it's well below or above, then it becomes pretty obvious...

It depends on how significant the market deems Activ 2 inclusion to be... if it's viewed upon as a gamechanger and the knowledge is out there that we're about to be added, I see no reason why this won't rally in anticipation??

Vaccines will decrease testing further down the line but that is far more of a problem for those companies yet to get their tests to market. Novacyt have been making money hand over fist and will continue to for a little while yet whilst looking to the future for new growth opportunities.

Porky, I agree with you and I also think that many institutions and practices are very resistant to change. This for example is something that goes over Captain Stanley's head. In his mind the best technology ALWAYS wins out whereas in my opinion it doesn't. Sometimes new better products come along but they just don't find a place or market... For this reason I'm extremely positive about ncyt's ability to rollout the Qs across the UK successfully as we already have our foot in the door now, we will be given that chance to get it right. The more work it takes the less likely it's going to be superseded by something else, the NHS is not going to spend all that money and labour hours for some short term benefit.

Apologies to those investors I may scare away. I have no proof that IIs are loading up, it is merely an assumption from the rising share price over the past week and the number of 10k buys flooding the market.

That's quite concerning, I imagine the IIs loading last week will be thinking twice now after reading Sharehunting1's thoughts on the matter.

In my view the biggest benefit of emailing journalists and reporters is to make more of them aware of synairgen. You wouldn't expect any direct impact (i'm sure they are messaged all the time by shareholders of all sorts of companies) but when any positive news lands there will be more media buzz around it if more journalists were awaiting said results.

We have learnt nothing new this weekend but have more than enough reason to believe the inclusion to Activ 2 should occur before January is out i.e the coming week. Hope that helps!

It's patently (see what I did there) obvious that our drug/interferon therapy is the one that the medical profession are most excited about.

What's the patent situation for interferon alpha? Both Betterlife and Genova Biotech (Novaferon) have a form of nebulised interferon alpha, does that mean no company have solid patents for interferon alpha or is this just another case of China ignoring patents?

It's synairgen being added to the Activ 2 trial, we've been told, it's been said. I won't feel relaxed til it's confirmed as of course we can't rule out a u-turn but barring that there's nothing to worry about.

Anything to look out for this weekend across the pond?
