Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. I was logging in using the app and apparently I should have been using the browser. All sorted now I think. Thanks again all.
Morning all,
I've been in since March and looking to take advantage of the open offer. I'm with interactive investor but not received any messages relating to how I can be part of the offer, despite me asking them directly.
Am I missing something here? Should I be applying somewhere else or waiting for II to come back to me?
Apologies if this is a silly question!!
Absolutely - the figures provided by Mike really hammer this home. Add that to the point that Aiming was making about the market cap being half of what it was in 2013, when all we had was a much quieter Lungi (I appreciate it is effectively closed at the minute temporarily) and the share price looks significantly undervalued.
I think the main problem is that the market doesn't really believe WSG anymore, hence the disparity between the value that holders can see and the actual share price. I am hoping though that this will all start to change soon, and maybe even this week, if we get a proper view at the numbers from last year, and maybe some figures to put towards the tech we have sold in the last ten weeks.
I think if we get something substantial, and hopefully not laden with vagueness, we could really start to see a 'fairer' value reflected.
This is all imo of of course.
Just out of interest - do we need to put DYOR, IMO, etc on every post for fear of our words being taken as advice??
Thanks all - I will try to make my replies a little more succinct in the future, Aiming!
I suppose I am a multi-id actually. I used to be hungryhippostu although I never posted and then forgot my password and the email address that was linked to it. Rather than having to open old email accounts, I thought it better to just sign up again!
For the sake of balance, I should probably say that I don't particularly like the amount of placings done here over the years - the BOD do seem to be no stranger to dilution, but I think this latest arrangement was carried out with the best of intentions - the sharp fall in share price and Covid has hampered the short term strategy of the placing though imo.
I have also been worried about the conversion rate of the prospects to contracts over the years, but the reason I am still here is that I believe maybe this year is the year when it all changes. I have however said this 6 times and I have been wrong each time so far.
Good Morning all,
I have been invested in WSG for around 9 years, and whilst I have never commented before, I do feel somewhat guilty that I have habitually checked this forum daily to share in the success and failures of the company with like minded folk, and never actually dared to comment and offer any value to the group.
My current holding is around 300k of shares - so a small amount compared to Martyn, Aiming and Foxy, but I have been, and continue to be here for the long haul!
Personally, I have been concerned in the past couple of years, that WSG are just too unlucky to succeed (I am omitting the Sierra Queen, as that had nothing to do with luck). With Ebola first hitting SL, and Trump pulling the plug on Iran, and now Covid-19 affecting Lungi (Tema & Tech will pick up the slack, so no worries from me) - but I wonder now, whether all of these challenges actually have put us in the best position to take on the world, post lockdown.
Had we been in Iran now, we would have lost even more revenue from air sales, and in turn we may not have been able to potentially supply NFL superbowl champions and casinos with tech in the US, as the sanctions may have stopped us doing business there.
Post lockdown, I imagine we are going to revisit our old MOU's and LOI's or whatever we call them nowadays, and we will have a history of mitigating the Ebola and Covid breakouts, running successful air and port security operations (to record levels, with the increase in TEU at Tema), and be able to provide the tech to help get the world on its feet following Covid.
To put it simply; we have the experience, the story, the track record, and the tech - this surely has to be an easier sales pitch than we have ever had to approach prospects for recurring revenue contracts.
Maybe, just maybe this time it could be the real deal for our little company!!
Finally - and on a personal note - It is so nice to see some of the old posters return recently, a big shout out to Mike and IanB who I have great respect for their informative posts, and to Aiming, Feeks, Yrab and Foxy who I have enjoyed reading their thoughts over the years (there are others, of course). I wish you all the very best (even you, DHC, you little scamp!)
Off out for another 9 years,
Imo
