MeDaVinci PLC announced that it has been notified that David Newton has a beneficial interest in 78,200,000 ordinary shares of the Company representing 7.99% of the issued share capital of the Company
David Newton has worked with over 100 fast-growth entrepreneurial firms since 1984 in the areas of writing business plans, financial strategy, venture capital, IPO pricing, firm valuation, strategic planning, buy-outs and acquisitions, and financial restructuring. His financial valuations and economic analysis work also includes numerous court cases as an expert witness for deposition, arbitration, and trial phases.
Since 1990, David Newton has been Professor of Entrepreneurial Finance and the founder and head of the entrepreneurship program at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. Prior to that he taught for five years in the MBA program at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, and one year at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He has a BSBA, an MBA in finance, and a DBA in entrepreneurial finance.
His books include:
- How To Be A Small-Cap Investor (McGraw-Hill, 1999), was named the November 1999 book-of-the-month selection by Money magazine and was also a Forbes magazine 1999 Top-10 book in Investments and Finance.
- How To Be An Internet-Stock Investor (McGraw-Hill, 2000).
- Entrepreneurial Ethics (Kendall-Hunt, 1997) was described by INC. magazine as "Éa landmark work on the science of entrepreneurial ethics";
- Current book projects: Business Models and Investment Capital (due in early 2002) and Principles of Growth Capital and New Venture Finance (due in late 2002).
