The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Been following every day, although without posting. It did get pretty busy for a while on chat!
Good thing, though. Decided I couldn't miss CHELSEA's birthday, for Friday. How are you boy?!
Some reasons to think of good potential here.
Back to League Cup Final. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We have a little more freedom, but recent events in India must keep everyone on guard worldwide.
This recent slight insomnia I guess a lot of folk are feeling is partly caused by a mixture of lack of exercise, in some cases boredom, and overthinking, amongst other reasons.
Yesterday morning,
I too noticed a queue at a pharmacy, not sure for the exact reason, unless the opening hours were shortened. Very large queue taking up half the car park at Asda. People standing two metres apart, with a cold wind blowing across an exposed concrete area, reminded me for some reason of a prisoner of war camp.
Been looking for a way I can perhaps volunteer. I must be good at something. I hope.
Did you hear any more about that list of one and a half million vulnerable people, Chelsea?
Best wishes to all.
Haven't been able to keep up with the more recent posting. Regards to Violin Dog, I didn't realise he was on the front line.
I am surprised that retailers, especially online, have not made more allowances for vulnerable folk. There was a guy of 74 with a broken leg who was told the quickest they could deliver was in nineteen days.
Hope everyone is keeping well.
I have to drag out shopping at 8, need a few things, and have ran out of vitamin tablets. The last time I had a gap in taking them I developed a bad cold. This current situation is making me a hypochondriac.
All the best, guys.
From what I remember of the old Swindon ground, that must have been a culture shock for their fans going to the great Wembley, but what a great result for them. I met a Torquay supporter when I was a kid, camping with the school at Stoke Fleming. More football tales anon.
My ISG shares are not looking so hot in the current
situation, guys! It just goes to show, you never know.
ATB.
I thought London had been in lockdown since Millwall beat Palace in 1970.
Hope your absence at the moment means that your sleeping is getting better. I agree with your comments on the work gotten through by people like the PM and Health Secretary, they must be rushed off their feet. I have always wondered in normal circumstances how any Prime Minister gets through the stuff every day. Can you imagine everything they have to think of? And then try to sleep at night!
Been following the sp every day, but haven't been able to keep up with the chat. Hope everyone is keeping well, in the circumstances.
You know things are a bit different when someone posts among the virus discussions a comment on Scancell, and titles it " Off topic" Lol.
Chelsea, I am sometimes guilty of over thinking situations too, but we cannot figure out the future, so just take each current situation state as it is on a given day, and let your mind rest as it is supposed to. How is your health generally, lately?
Like the other guys, I think you should self isolate, take the opportunity to rest, and enjoy the garden. Don't expect you need it, but If I can help, I can let you have an email of mine.
I have been getting fed up of going to Asda and complaining that the empty shelves should be cleaned every hour. :)
Happy New Year to all, including the new posters, always welcome to see.
I was a bit surprised by the sudden 50 per cent rise, on no tangible news. A bit of fluctuation since of course, on rather higher volumes. Anyone think more funds will be needed soon , from whatever source? Hope you're feeling okay, C7. Did you sell all of your 'bargain basement' shares, or just half?
Anyway, glad the proceeds came in handy.
Reckon we are due for an RNS. :-)
Best wishes to you all for Christmas, and don't overdo anything, guys. Good to see you posting regularly C7, hope you're feeling well.
Quiet last week, and so far this week.
The buyer getting 6.46 didn't do badly, though. :)
On the Biontech/Scancell possibilities.
The article I mentioned is in the European respiratory review.
https://err.ersjournals.com/content/28/153/190066 Read if you have the time, it's quite a long, detailed paper.
Includes COPD info, and stuff for anyone interested in Asthma research.
Sorry about your phone issue, Chelsea! Seems to me any kind of phone, etc. related buying usually has problems. I cannot match your three weeks yet, lol. I had a conversation with a guy in India, who informed me that I was one of their most valued customers, I would have a phone replacement within two days, and was I one hundred percent satisfied with the service?
The following four days I heard and received absolutely nothing. Got back in touch with them, was told I was a wonderful person, and I would receive a cure all replacement part within two days. Have also been awarded £42 credited to my account. That part was true, whether I actually get the right part and can use the new phone remains to be seen. :)
A couple of months ago I added to my BT.A holding, SP was quite low, and the dividends are good. If Scancell falls much more, I could be adding to that as well. :-)
Sorry I was unable to provide a click on to the link above.
Pity about the tick down, but things will probably drift until some news.
I guess most of you will have heard about the notices in pharmacies sort of saying, don't blame us please if we haven't got your medicine in stock. Hope no one suffers as a result.
Yeah, Chelsea I knew about your treatment and the positive outcome. I was commenting on you mentioning that you felt better, and were slowly able to get out. Good news!
I was secretly thinking that the 1k buy at 75 pounds recently was down to you. :)
My niece and her boss recently had a paper published in a European respiratory monthly publication. I will try to provide more details.
Alright for her, she has just gone on a holiday to Florida. :-)
My new phone saga continues, I should let you know the latest farcical details. Hopefully I will get it in time to phone up and wish you Happy Christmas. :)
Hi SCLPers, C7.
I think there is an article on simplywallstreetcom . 'Should You Invest In Scancell Holdings?' dated 29th September, but you have to be a member or subscriber to read it.
Regarding the SP debate, in my seven years involvement, this has always been a LTH 'waiting' share. Posters views range from ' Great science, great prospects, why the low SP? , to LTH who are in no hurry, and waiting for big announcements.
Chelsea, chuffed for you, that on last comment you seem in slightly improved health. Apparently you recently obtained a new phone. I am trying to upgrade, but having problems. And customer service keeps you waiting on call longer than the FDA decision on the trial proceeding.
I have had two minor ailments lately, a broken tooth caused a month ulcer, and I have been inflicted by heat blisters, aka 'prickly heat.' No s******ing, please guys. They told me it would only last four days. They lied.
At least I am now a member of Scancell's insomniac posters club. :)
All the best for the new week, dudes.
Seems that often in the past, the BOD can often be vague and non -committal in matters regarding pipelines, funding, and trial updates, etc., at AGMs. Great that you attended such an historic test, Ruck. My thoughts ranged from optimism, blatant disappointment, to thinking that they will never get that total. After being 4 to 1 on after the first day, they were 7 to 1 against, at making it. Chelsea, I was wondering if you were able to get out in the sun!
I agree with Ray's point regarding the way some posters are growing impatient with the trial start. It will start when scientifically correct and appropriate. In any case, we are still within the parameters. Sometimes these things fall into place quickly, sometimes slowly. Think of the people in the trial, primarily.
Separately, I've been thinking of possible good news between now, and say, the end of the year. Apart from the trial announcement, there is the FDA situation, been going on since King Ethelred was on the throne. :) Also, a chance of a deal of some sort. Probably Chelsea can come up with other possibilities.
Hope you're feeling a bit better, guess you couldn't make the appointment, at least you'll be able to keep a eye on here, and maybe watch England getting thrashed, lol. Disappointing display today, after a tight match, typical England test form.
A bit of a lowering of volumes the last couple of days, and the spread more narrow. When news due? Anyone's guess, maybe we should hold a sweepstake. Ooops, don't want to give anyone ideas.
Afraid to open my mouth sometimes, on this BB. Kidding, but you know the feeling. :-)
It was the MMs yesterday, they saw that C7 was having a lie in, and took advantage. :) Interesting the higher volumes recently, Often means something is going on, of course. Trouble is no one can make their minds up, hence half buys and half sells. Probably quite a reaction if there's any news. How are you, Chelsea?
Have been offline this week, sorry to hear of your loss. Hopefully you can keep in touch with his family.
The SP. shows a fight back. :)
I've seen Dylan live a couple of times. Hyde Park, - the scene of the famous Stones' free concert in the sixties. :)
Glad your appointment went well. Hope your brother is doing as well as possible.
As Princess Kim once said, You are an inspiration to us all.
The weather is still holding at the moment, so hopefully we can all enjoy the weekend. :-)
Hey Guys,
Some heart rending posts in the last couple of days, regarding what some BB members have been through with relatives. So, my best wishes to them all. Most of us moan about more or less day to day problems, but these things are put in perspective. Also, a good reminder of how we should keep in contact with friends/relations, and the foolishness of pride getting in the way. I have had a bit of an experience myself with a similar situation recently. It seems to me, that it is showing strength, not weakness, to make the first move.
C7, not sure if it was Violindog , as you mentioned was a possibility, who made the comments about Southampton University Hospital, a while back. Nice to see him posting some wise words currently, so maybe he can put us right!
My niece is there, researching into asthma.
I guess we can have no complaints about the weather. I shall be rigging up the mosquito net again tonight. :)
