The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Hi guys, C7 you may as well enjoy taking it easy, although don't know if it's getting more sunny or clouding over at present.
Btw, I've been investing in shares since the BT flotation in 1984, so I'm not nervous about SCLP, or any other share. (Tell 'em, Chelsea!) But I do appreciate Inan and Ruck's (and others) comments on the science. Thanks for your concern, though.
A while back, there were two sites quoting different SPs for Scancell, so I took a quick look through the others, to clarify. To my surprise, on one BB, I found myself being described as 'Chelsea's Henchman'. Fame at last, eh?!
Catch you later.
Know what you mean Chelsea, my sleep pattern has been up the creek recently. Partly my own fault. Any fears about dilution effect, when the new shares are dropped on the market? Did you have your appointment, or has it been put back?
All the best, bud.
Hope you get on okay.
That guy I mentioned, the only other things I can remember, is I believe he said he drove past Southampton hospital every day, and previously they had been building a new wing, I think. He posts occasionally, and wishes you well, hopefully we will hear from him. He was four years at UCLH. Tell you more of my neice later, it's quite interesting stuff.
Best wishes to you and all here.
Who had that 60 pound buy? :)
C7, Sorry to hear of your after effects. One question is, that you're glad you had it done, I guess that you are. I can sympathise about weight loss though, I am actually medically underweight myself.
Must tell this BB more about my neice sometime, hopefully.
She is working on research at Southampton hospital, the same place where Scancell have a base. And there is a guy who posts occasionally here, who knows it. Believe he has sent good wishes to you recently, Chelsea, and used to work at a hospital in London you attend?
My best wishes to all LTH, another frenetic week to come?lol, who knows.
Welcome to my newsletter. :)
Hey, guys. I've been quite busy this week, and with more postings than usual, been trying to keep up on here. Good week, nice to see. Chelsea, how are you, good to see you on form with the posting. So far this year, I haven't been very active in the market, though I wish I had added at below 4 here, but I suppose most people on here do, lol). In February I sold some 'old' ANTO shares and made 800 quid, and a month ago bought into IAG, because they seemed low and have 3 dividends due this year. There is always a danger of summer strikes or whatever, with them, but happy with my decision.
I can often be consulted for advice in Surbiton station car park at commuter times, playing the violin and hoping for a few pennies. :)
I expect now, someone will accuse me of ramping a footsie 100 company.
Hope everyone is having a relaxed and enjoyable long weekend.
Best wishes, guys.
Two items of good news, one big sell off. Above all, of course this is a long term share, and hasn't changed much at present. Interesting to see how the SP moves next week. May add at these prices, although funding and the famous waiting game for the decision are still around. Anyone have any opinions as to when more funds may probably be needed? Meanwhile, Crumbs is posting some good points, in between an entertaining blitzkrieg of RW and knowslei. Crumbs himself, must be nearing the 3 percent 'declare an interest' situation. :)
Chelsea, glad you and TF are on terms again. Despite a couple of unimportant disagreements, he has always shown genuine concern for you. I've been following your progress this week, and it's great to see you on form. One word, or two: Please rest.
And take it easy. Hope everyone has a pleasant weekend.
Yes, I thought it was tomorrow, we will all be thinking of you, be sure of that. I'm not sure if the site has changed, my phone is so clogged up, I couldn't tell. About every half hour I get 'insufficient storage space'. Clear it out, then it's back again. Next try: a second sd card. (Or new phone.)
Best wishes.
Thanks to all for the information regarding the presentation.
Hope you saw my Thursday post, C7, and trust that you had a relaxing weekend after Friday. You mentioned previous posters, I sometimes wonder what happened to faces like Le Moore, Princess Kim, dstanley, and others, too. Also the couple of very poorly posters you were thinking of, it would be nice to hear from them. Just returned from Asda, btw, guys. I am not wealthy like Chelsea, and cannot go to Waitrose. :). My little joke. Actually I go to Asda because it's simply only a couple of blocks away, and the nearest supermarket.
Best wishes to all.
this BB is like listening to a Leonard Cohen album. :) But it's ok though, I like his stuff. Belated birthday wishes C7, and you were right about news coming. And nice to see a bit of a tick up, at least. Best wishes for your consultation tomorrow.
GLA. ??
While it's quiet. :) Crumbs, a good post on whether we could recommend friends or relatives to buy, at present. Separately, do you have inherent scientific background, or just a good knowledge of Scancell? TF, a couple of informative posts also, recently. Chelsea, I always enjoy your thoughts on your own holding here. A philosophical approach, - and maybe the best attitude. I'm quite happy too, to see the narrow spreads at present. Maybe if anything happens, they will soon drive a wedge through that, lol. I don't understand why the trades on NEX don't show up on here sometimes, btw.
GLA.
Of course, a lot of AIM investors are not like someone who buys a footsie 100 share, and doesn't watch it very often. So if someone looks here, and perceives no imminent news, they just think, looks good, nothing happening at moment, look again in six months. Would many people buy something at say 20p, when they think it will be 20p in six months' time? Hence the lack of buying. We cannot say if their approach is right or wrong.
Chelsea, we will be thinking of you tomorrow, and rooting for you, obviously. I suppose this appointment was made a couple of months back. Anyway, you are apparently in good hands, and although not easy, the right choices will be made.
Today's semi- final could turn out to be an intriguing game, for anyone who's following, lol.
Best wishes to all.
I'm struggling to keep up with the posts. A bit of a drag, to see the SP at this level, eh? Some observant comments by Chester and Ray, over the last few days.
It seems at present, that a would-be buyer could look at this as akin to purchasing a lottery ticket.
A small stake, for a remote chance of hitting the jackpot. If you are of the mind that the chances are much better than remote, then you will be even more pleased with your holding. What will happen of course, none of us know. Looking at it that way, I've almost talked myself into adding to my lot, lol.
Trust we are all having a peaceful and relaxing weekend. How are you, Chelsea? I know you had a break from posting, and possibly have an appointment upcoming.
Don't get downcast you dudes, after all nothing has actually changed in reality, when you think about it. ??
Not sure of the reason for the rise last Thursday, but we were due for it anyway, I guess! Seems like a waiting game here again at present. Unusual game, last Sunday, you were a little unlucky not to win. Hope you're enjoying the rest from medical appointments. Warmest winter day on record yesterday, in some parts. I will let you get back to your sun block and designer shades.
Been following the SP and comments this week as usual, - as you say, we are in a bit of a limbo as things stand at present. We all know how things drift with seemingly not much news immediate or imminent. And of course, bios are long term anyway. LTH will sit and wait, unless they feel like adding to their holdings. We have had a few murmurings and grumbles, perhaps born out of frustration at the current share price. Easy to understand. Though some things can't be rushed! Chelsea, my best wishes for your appointment tomorrow. I'm sure you'll weigh things up, and come to the right decision. As my dear old mum used to say, "Everyone knows their own situation best." Hope for better week here. ? GLA.
Sorry guys my connection is up the creek. :-)
Yeah, I get what you said about illness being difficult to talk of sometimes, and at other times people are very quick to. Anyway, hope you've had a peaceful weekend, and Chelsea back on track. Have you noticed how they've been messing around, widening the spread on here recently?! Especially at more volumes of course. The cheek of it. :)

at another drop! Just been down to Asda in the snow, hopefully got back before the blizzard sets in.
:-)
a lot of folk have varying sleep patterns. I know I certainly do sometimes.
The way they defended was enough to keep anyone awake, lol. Although they started well. Anyway, how are you since the hospital appointment? Busy week for you, last week all round. And another buy this week! I'm struggling to think of much news possible in the first half of this year, how about you?
