That's why I only included the bottom part from Malcy's blog bc it's not her words.
@Badvoc - This is a good contract for Petrofac and adds neatly to the portfolio but it isn’t going to make huge addition to the order book nor the problems the company has elsewhere in the business. I am well documented as being positive on Petrofac for the long haul but they need much more than this to move the dial, or the share price for that matter”
This is not a quote from Teresa Isabel Nnang Avomo, Director General of GEPetrol but a quote from Malcy, Malcy's blog.
@Kpa1 - "Stop running your mouth " I suggest you take some of your own advice.
@PaulC - I fully understood your post clearly. I wish you took my final point as seriously "Can we just let this play out and then either side of the opinion can say "I told you so.""
@PaulC - "GKP had billions of barrels of oil, PFC have billions of orders." You're comparing apples to bananas. Billions of barrels maybe but what % was produceable? Billions of orders means guaranteed work a very different scenario. No need to go back to 2016 to share your investigative finding. Can we just let this play out and then either side of the opinion can say "I told you so."
Doing my best to look on the bright side. Overall message is neither good nor bad, just that they're working on it as we would expect. "It has continued to maintain liquidity above its financial covenant" I trust this statement is current and not from Decembers RNS.
@Mary, To be honest I was a little lost with your post. But glad your sense of humour is very much intact. This PFC drama is quite a comedy when you read many of the posts.
Boyobach - They no longer work for PFC.
GeOrge123. I live in Leith and the sun is shining :)
@Shls3834 "How on earth can some other company loan out something you own without your consent" Brokers only loan shares that are in a margin account. So unless you have one they're not loaning yours.
This is just the guys getting comeuppance. PFC paid the £77M fine so in reality won't/shouldn't change anything. Let's just wait for the positive news that will increase sp.
Paul, thanks again, your persistence is deafening.....we get it.
Paul, you are well versed as an investor. Unfortunately some folks on here have a lot at stake and yes are thinking with their heart. Maybe that's all they have left. This needs respected which you have done like your views which you have received. However, the longer this saga goes on the more it feels like those who want to believe are being lectured to. You said "Serious investors are more interested in reading well reasoned negatives rather than the brainless ramping that dominates this board." Good advice, so may I respectfully advise that you join the serious investors and leave us brainless investors to get on with the "ramping". Ultimately very soon the outcome will be laid bear for all to feel - winners or losers.
PFCvetran: I share your pain as I'm in the same predicament and your advice especially poignant. I wish you luck as I need the exact same.
Is it possible that the hedge funds shorting are changing their strategy to long?
Enjoying the chat and weighing up who's correct and who's not is impossible to say. The rns we're all waiting for and when it comes will either rocket boost the sp or crash it. I know what I'm hoping for.
BearF: That question has been banded around for a number of weeks now. The answer lies with PFC bod. My opinion at such distressed prices atm makes no sense imo.
Lilo: No they won't.
StockNor: "As you might know I am a short term investor/trader and therefore I have the feeling that the RNS that is coming won't be so positive like you say yourself, but obviously I am only speculating."
Please feel free to share your speculation. Can't speak for the other longs but I'm certainly interested.
