How does this affect Seplat ? The FPSO was owned by Shebah Exploration for use on OML108. Looks like the FPSO was anchored offshore so should not affect the Escravos Terminal.
Our current market cap is £6M higher than it was 5 years ago. There has been a lot of disappointment in that time but a lot of experience has been gained. We now have a growing monthly income with good oil prices and great prospects with horizontal drilling in the shallows and the huge prospect of flowing deeps. During the last five years we have added some very valuable assets. All in all we should have added a lot more than £6M and I'm convinced it will happen soon.
Trying to think through why the expected RNS is delayed and there are a few obvious reasons e.g. 153 being re-drilled, boat contract close to being completed. But there is another possibility that is intriguing me. What if A8 was flowing oil. I wouldn't announce it immediately as the stock price would be limited because people would remember A5 and be concerned about a similar result. Better to wait a while and be able to announce a strong flow result over a number of weeks and be able to re-assure people that we are not heading towards an A5 scenario.
Pure speculation on my part but the truth is none of us has the foggiest what will be in the next RNS and I'm a born optimist.
I think the answer will be minimising the use of bentonite and using synthetic based fluids (SBFs).

If I didn't live 17,362 kms from Trinidad I'd be sat outside the gate with a notebook and binoculars.
Maybe someone is counting the number of oil tankers leaving the site.
Palmsairport & Grahamesme, thank you both for pointing me to the information I needed. I have joined you both as a shareholder. Looks like we have exciting times ahead.
Grahamesme, Many thanks, that was really helpful. It looks like they have plenty to go at in the near term and longer term plans target private or state land.
I'm tempted to buy in here but I'm concerned about the Democratic push to stop drilling on Federal lands. My understanding is that much of Zephyr's acreage are Federal lands. Can anybody tell me if the company has commented on this or if I am mistaken. The recent well results look outstanding but I have this niggling concern that won't go away.
Before anyone suggests it, I am not short in Zephyr or any other stock, I am a potential buyer here.
M_J, I think the reason some people can't get a quote for a particular stock on Aim is that they are using an online brokerage and perhaps the online programs are limited in what they can offer in certain situations.
I use a full price broker and in more than 30 years I have never been unable to get a price on a stock. On the rare occasion my broker can't get a price off the screen he will call his trading desk who will ring round the market makers but I always end up with a quote even if I don't much like it. For me it's worth paying a few pounds more for a personal service but that may be a different for someone who trades often.
I am glad TXP is on the AIM, and hope they keep their listing there in the future. Your views are no doubt based on you residing in Canada but not everybody has that straight forward a situation. I live in Asia and trade with a London broker and if I buy on a Canadian exchange the Canadian market makers charge a premium. I cannot open a Canadian brokerage account because I don't live in Canada. My UK account goes back thirty years. TXP have given access to a broad population of investors and I applaud them for that.
If our sales are exceeding expectations due to the current market shortage are we likely to see the mining season extended. Likewise if the company decides to stockpile more material due to expected sales increase would mining not be extended. Presumably this would warrant an RNS in the near future.
Perhaps it's a balancing act - how far can they go without introducing the heavy barite mud that has caused so many problems. Aren't there synthetic muds available now that could alleviate the barite problem ? Anyway, I'm here and buying as I think there is something big down there !!
