Key highlights of this drilling program so far.19 Aug 2025 06:48
Intersection of a significant breccia pipe: The first hole of the program (25RSDD001) intersected over 130 meters of breccia with chalcopyrite and pyrite sulphides from 570 meters depth. This discovery is considered significant as brecciation is a style of mineralization found at nearby gold and copper deposits like Telfer and Havieron.
Encountering sulphides and quartz-carbonate veining at depth: Zones of quartz-carbonate veining and sulphides (chalcopyrite and pyrite) were observed from 520 meters, with increasing intensity towards the breccia pipe at 570 meters, indicating the likely proximity to a significant mineral deposit.
Targeting the Red Setter Dome: The drilling program is focused on testing a compelling resistive dome-like structure identified through Mobile MT surveys conducted by Expert Geophysics Limited (EGL). This dome is considered the potential source of the gold and copper mineralization at the project.
Continued drilling and step-out hole planned: Drilling in the current hole is ongoing to a target depth of approximately 750 meters, and further deepening is possible later in the program. A step-out hole to the southwest of the current hole is also planned to assess the lateral extent of the breccia zone. This step-out hole will target a depth of 550 meters, 50-75 meters from the current hole.
Expedited core analysis: Core samples are being transported to Perth for cutting and assaying, with results expected in the coming weeks.
Wishbone Gold's Red Setter project is situated near Greatland Gold's Telfer gold mine in Western Australia, a region known for its gold and copper deposits. The encouraging drilling results at Red Setter are consistent with the company's exploration strategy to define the domal structure and identify significant mineralization.
