Moring Broadford B,
I agree with most of what you say .
With Iraq Kurdistan, it often gets lost that the majority of issues are conducted by Politicians and there henchmen who hold more than one passport and can enter thye UK with diplomatic immunity, and take money out of Kurdistan airports , as they are not under the full jurisdiction of Iraq as they should be. The above comment covers politicians of Iraq as well as Iraq Kurdistan.
With regard to wiki leaks, I would agree some of the details dont reomcile with the wording scene in diplomatic cables that enforecemnt teams and the FCPA use, in some cases Wiki leaks actually under play the seriouness of issues and the wording is not the same, but onm going cases etc, will bring to light more details.
I would hope everyone wants to see iraqis of all ethnic sects have a improved quality of life and beneift from the countries natural resources, although certain UK US Kurds have in the KRG have a different agenda of self presrevation and enrichment at the cost of anyone, Iraq's Kurdish, citizens Uk Inevstors etc.
I can szee people concentrating on todays SP which to those who have been aorund long enough is in reality 2.6p.
TK and his circle with Hawrmi started this journey, but it was never ever to benefit Kurds or Iraqis, and what ever anyone says, previous and current Board members are no different. Anyone who accepts a role on the GKP board wether as a Directors, Ass Director, advisers , stock promotoer all know they are participating in a process that as not changed and is a continuation of the past.
Any one taking up a CEO role in GKP or other board role will have done his own due dilligence , been vetted by Hawrmi and co and passed Hawrmis acid test.
I don't agree with anyone having meetings with board members that are not in the public domain /forum and board members should have more common sense than to engage in such meetings, as to do so is proving they willing to bend rules and its seems acceptable when a company is listed in the UK.
As Far As AGMs go of this company, I gave up walking and trying to chew gum 8 years ago, nothing will be disclosed of a material fact or honest answer at such events.
People have to take there own view, some will follow this company and others out of interest and not be invested and there is no need for anyone to be invested to have a view and right to post, all views can be read and if those invested want to take notice they can do.
Hopefully bwith good investigators with enforement teams working with the FCPA, the UK market will get cleaned up and proper fiines and prison sentences will be seen more often.
I am sure of one thing, the friendly arrangement between the PUK and KDP will be back tn play now , and those two ruling family will be after anything they can get out of Baghdad, That may have hit anew road block with ppl of Basra acting to stop oil corruption and shut off $ to Iraq and its regions like Kur
