CCC. I think the point everyone misses is this.
The IPT is only allowed between Sov Governments and not Regional Administrations or so called Governments.
Iraq and Turkey have a legally biNding IPT that was resigned in 2011 for a further 15 years, that is a requiste of Interntional law to transfer oil and gas between countries and boarders of Countries. Iraq Government of which the KRG were part agreed that new deal in 2011 to run as an extension to the existing IPT.
Any oil that leaves Iraq via any pipeline that is not signed by Iraq Goverment ministers under international law is classed as smuggling and its actually Stolen Oil.
Leverage, Turkey as the leverage with the corrupt KDP to take what it wants with no metering of oil, this also means the only losers are Iraqis and that includes Kurdish Citizens, as they do not get anything from the oil experted illegally from Kurdistan to Turkey. This also raises this serious issues, any IOC that produces oil that goes via this illegal route is open to prosecution when it takes oil from the ground and allows the KRG KDP to use an illegal pipeline.
As for experts, they come in many forms andf guises, most are on someones payroll and its well known the UK contributes to the aiding and abetting of facilitaing smuggled oil from Iraq Kurdistan, and to make this point clear for all lets take this serious issue further.
Turkey bombing the Kurds in Northern Iraq, they do so by buying weapons, bombs planes with oil revenue they make from oil taken out of Kurdistan region by piepline and use those $ dollars to purcchase all mannor of weapons and bombs, so the reality is this Barzani KDP help fund the bombing of kurds by Turkey with stolen Oil from the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Sonmething to consider, Kurds dont get anything from oil taken from Kurdistan, and they lose land , but worse the oil $ Barxzani makes, and GKP makes helps kill Kurds, these are just simple plain facts, and when anyone invests in IOC in Kurdistan they should actually look at this and if they are happy with it, then carry on an invest, but do so knowing the consequences of this investment.
Maybe worth looking at Gyphron board of directors and advisors in 2011, 2012, 2013/2014 and note which former Turkish Ministers were on the board of Gyprhon when this pipeline was set up and who benefits.
Iraq as many problems, and so do other countries, but from experience of many decades, people get held to account, be it later than most would like, but it does happen . Oil Execs on Boards would be wise to open there eyss wide and considerr what part they play around the world not just Iraq Kurdistan in the death and murder when reaping countries people of there natural resources
