The gasification for coal to fertiliser can only take place once the coal is out of the ground, at the moment all coal related projects are awaiting the LOI for mine and power plant.

All Thar Coal related projects are now very much back on the agenda for the pak govt and thus the LOI is now due very soon.

I could have bailed out yesterday at a nice profit but am invested for the long term.

This initiative was being taken to scale down fuel imports, as the fuel import bill ate up almost $20 billion in 11 months of last fiscal 2021-22. The process to convert these projects would take investment and time as the boilers of the said plants would need some specific changes for calibration with Thar coal, Dastgir said.

From what I have read the IGCEP should meet in September this year, they decide what additional requirements are needed to meet the energy needs of the country, they then decide who to purchase this from or which organisations have been selected to generate this additional capacity.
This is all based on policy direction from the government---- all the noise for the last couple of months has been around increasing utilisation of Thar Coal as it is a significantly cheaper option compared to imported coal etc
Block 6 owned by Oracle has been name checked by senior people from the energy department of the government quite a few times which means that Naheed has hopefully done all the work necessary to ensure issuance of the LOI very soon after this IGCEP meeting.
With regards Thar Block 6 I am expecting the issuance of LOI around Sept/Oct and definitely by the end of 2022 at the latest.

In the mean while I hope to see some uplift in value with some sort of JV agreement in Australia again in the next few months.

With regards the Green Hydrogen project which had already raised 800k a few month prior I was surprised and impressed that Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Al Maktoum had added more monies into this project a few weeks ago which I take as a signal that more significant updates are due in the near term--(i personally think they have been allotted the land for the project and will be making a payment for this very soon )

but all the fundamentals are there just waiting for the green light on each of the three projects

1) Block 6 has been mentioned multiple times by the government in the last few months ------and the LOI should proceed before or immediately after the following----- 'the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority ("NEPRA"), has ruled that the Thar project of 1,320MW, should be included in the next annual review in 2022'.
Normally takes place in September

2)The gold assets are just awaiting a further update in terms of JV----
'The geological surveys and test drilling reports are all looking encouraging, and we have been approached by other mining companies in the area, which are looking to form joint ventures to advance the projects'.

3) The Green Hydrogen project is fully funded in this development stage to the tune of 800k ---just awaiting allotment of land from the government most likely by year end to get some firm progress on the ground.

All in all i am confident that we will see some firm progress in the next half of the year-----i have maxed out my isa with ORCP this year so really disappointed i cant take any advantage of such a low entry.

Short term gold results imminent--but this is a long term investment for the Power plant, Coal to Gas, Coal to Fertiliser and also the (fully funded in the near term) Hydrogen plant .

I think we will see a LOI very soon. This new govt wants to show that it’s addressing the major issues ASAP.
With elections around the corner as much as possible needs to be fast tracked to show the public another side to sharif and co.

Temperatures hitting close to 50 in some parts the existing network is not even close to coping and to not use an existing resource despite the issues with climate change will bankrupt the country

For newbies this is as cheap as it gets

also the above highlights why the original power plant is still necessary and now we are likely to have more political traction with a change in government.

Amazing news!! Wanted to add more but was awaiting the ISA year to reset in a few days.
