The price of oil is only going one way - this was just overbought and a short term sell off inevitable.

Under investment and unintelligible renewable planning are lead indicators… and that’s just the tip of the ice berg. Depleted reserves need refilling!!!

I think the main point is that it’s gone from hold to buy

Berenberg upgrades Tullow Oil from Hold to Buy and raises the price target from GBp55 to GBp65.

Berenberg upgrades Harbour Energy from Hold to Buy and raises the price target from GBp380 to GBp425

So my new investing strategy... wait for Sour Kous Kous to mutter something... then do the complete opposite!

When I first listened to the BOD they seem fairly confident, perhaps slightly arrogant, about their strategy and market position. Now they seem to be talking about carbon neutrality which is encouraging because the financial institutions are just not going to lend to those that do not commit to this (or as we know appear to do so)... However, and not sure if intentional, but this update was flat at best... the CEO words dull and uninspiring... perhaps a hierarchical shuffle would be a good thing? The hedging has been a disaster and really Tolmont with O&G prices staying put will save the day...

Ratings are all bs and generally ignored by the market... they lag and are just used to talk up the institutions own books...

This is just part of a wider conversation happening today. When will the Fed start tapering? Also the fear mongerers want volatility. Thats how they make their money. It might just turn out to be those in O&G stocks might be in the safest place at present...

Lets have a whip around and get the nurse to turn off the machine...

y'all know they have vast super computers to predict future weather patterns... and are constantly getting it wrong... so do hedge funds.. fact!

At the end of the day at these oil prices Tullow is making money - fact! This is not reflected in SP... fact! Doesn't matter what you and I think - fact!

They can't keep this down forever... must be getting sweaty!

It always amazes me how the media machine churns out the view of the elite and promotes their interests. Totally agree this market is corrupt and manipulated.

Having said that the latest OPEC+ debacle shows one thing: They are determined to keep the oil market stable and, more importantly, it has reinforced the position that they are in charge.
