Hay Alma I do like this previous post of yours- QUOTE "Once I am gone I will add my final 70 kg of carbon to the crematorium chimney, but I will buy a carbon offset from the undertaker, just to virtue signal my smoke."
Eco warrior- like it, a bit too much perhaps tho?????????
Alma Boring. I presume if Bor had the repayment, then that would be a profit for that year in order to declare the repayment to shareholders as a special divi. In addition whatever the repayment was, it would be offset against previous costs in any event. No idea what you are on about to be honest, if Bor want to distribute funds to their shareholders like BLVN for example- then they can. Call it want you want!! If I ran a company and lost money for ten years and I got investment to establish my asset with a free commercialisation of that asset and a load of cash in the bank for past costs- the first thing I would do would offset all previous costs in establishing the asset against this new income which would probably preserve this income as tax free and CG free. I would then distribute a percentage of the nett to my shareholders free of all company CG taxes but subject to their own individual taxes.
Hey Alma, repayment (percentage) of exploration costs would NOT be considered a capital gain and the board would be free to do what it would like with this cash. As for injunction- that's even more tosh!!! Best regards.......
I don't think the board will go down the royalty route but agree that our Canadian friend knows something. He has made a fortune with inside trading and is doing the same here. I see 20p+ on farmout, 30p+ on farmout with decent payback for historical costs and my magic 50p+ on FID. If we get some form of free carry and decent percentage of historical costs payback I expect the board to do a special divi which will equate to more than the current price today.
Anth, my query is why the board are even looking at changing production volumes that will match FPSO's for redeployment before financing and before appraisal unless financing is likely to be in the bag and the assumption it will be a successful appraisal (which is a bit of a no brainer given the asset). FPSO matching is normally down the line when completing final investment decision, sourcing is also normally completed by the experienced incoming investor ( active oil and gas company) who has the lease deals/ownership of FPSO'S already in place. FPSO redeployment rarely matches the new asset and therefore some topside work is needed, it's just bizarre to see the board working on this before anything else is signed off unless we are doing a " go it alone" plan.
POC when did you have that conversation/communication. He used to reply to my emails but doesn't anymore because I gave him a fair bit of grief with his ongoing failure but at least now it looks like we have turned a corner and we are nearly there.
POC- I am still stewing on why the board are seeking a decent FPSO that's good for our asset. It has to be a final box ticker for a finance deal rather than farmout, usually this side of things are taken care of by the investing company farming in who have the agreements/relationships already in place for the equipment. ??????????????????????
Hi Phil, the market isn't rational and never has been with anything. It either over reacts (up or down) or doesn't react at all to the obvious. It's the only chance people like us have against the market, patient and waiting for the next big thing to happen which in this case is very soon. Really curious (actually inpatient) to see the details of how this will be funded, and my gut says it will not be through a huge giveaway farmout.
Interesting reading the RNS again and the presentation, clearly the board are now actively seeking a FPSO for us on Darwin. And that's why they are assessing the production volumes, because redeployed FPSO'S process less than 50,000 boe/d and around 30% of FPSO's process less than 25,000 boe/d. Also top side never matches the field requirements usually so some work is required. Now the curious thing is why are they doing this, if the finance isn't already on the table? And will it really be a farm out or will it be some kind of external financial instrument, bonds etc....?
I think we are definitely without a doubt near to a conclusion and a whopping re rate for Bor. Exciting days ahead
Should be time to head north I think with the current sp price, bidder squeeze isn't working and I think the ask will be taken out soon. Stagnation can only go on for so long! As for cryptic Ant, as far as I remember this has been the only RNS since I have been invested (many moons like you) that the RNS was clearly cryptic, the board are usually brutally honest with their constant negative RNS's. This one is definitely different and I am very hopeful that something is in the bag finally after all these years.
Ummm is the farm out in the bag? Interesting comment that they are fine tuning the production volumes that would allow redeployment of FPSO vessels that are available (NOW). Why do this if the first part isn't signed off (drilling)..........
falky- every one that has come across you hates you, you are utter scum and thick as sh*t. never once posted about false buying or selling d head and never will. thats the last of communicating with you, even the d heads on the other board hate you and they are proper******!!!
Not me, it's total BS anyway. Market makers making a market, that's all it is. It will ping back up soon enough when they realise there are not many sellers in the abyss. Nothing has changed, apart from patience for a few.
