Looks like something is in the wind. If you excuse the analogy :-)
This will be £5 in 3 months.
They wont demand their equity in the short term - As I said they want the company to thrive and the share price to be maintained. This company will be given space to regain and build into the future. Just watch. GLAH
As you say Thunderclap - "Besides, they have no free cashflow to repay debt and cover interest even if levels return to pre pandemic". So what does that tell you. The German Government will find a way to relax the terms of this loan. Why loan a company money to then squash the company at a later date. Its politics the German Government is keen for this company to get back on its feet and thrive. That's politics my friend. You might not like it but that's how it works.
I fully expect the terms of the German loan to be renegotiated at some point to the benefit of the company. The German government are desperate for TUI to succeed and continue growing. Lumping an expensive loan on them doesnt make any sense in the longer term.
The MMs arent holding lots of stock back or anything like that. The MMs dont hold lots of Argo stock because... It could plummet if BTC takes a bath. They arent speculators they make money from trades. The price is suppressed because we have a big seller or a number of big sellers.
The Government are watching the rate of infections and the impact of the vaccination very closely. Dont be surprised if the road map is relaxed - the wave expected from the re-opening of schools hasnt materialised either.
I see holidays are being opened up sooner. Not a surprise really. There's a huge economic impact of delaying them one day longer than necessary.
"The Oxford vaccine has reportedly 10% efficacy against the South Africa variant". Correct but thats for mild and moderate symptoms. For prevention against serious symptoms it seems to work very well indeed. If you only get the sniffles with covid that surely is a success over where we are today.
Well TUI is the biggest travel agent on the planet and the planet is desperate to go on holiday. All the other players in the game have been impacted as well. Once the green light is given its up and away. The downside risk is limited in that the company is protected by the German Government who now have skin in the game and dont want the company to fail.
Airborne Covid Detector finally out in the real world ?
