areyousure - one thing I will say that isn't in anyway specific to Edenville, therefore I will share it, if you're investing in AIM companies you need to have three pieces of very critical information at hand - Articles of Association, Companies Act and the AIM Rules for Companies. I've learnt one important thing in life - you can't beat hard facts. GLA

Without wanting to disclose other potential shares in my portfolio, there was an interesting RNS from Enteq (NTQ) today - there's a brilliant sentence in it about Directors taking remuneration in shares - "This compensation was taken in new Ordinary Shares, rather than cash, in line with the Directors support of the Company's policy to preserve cash and their belief in the Company's longer-term potential." Very different financial dynamics there, especially the share price, but you get my gist. Over to you Edenville BoD. GLA

 

Sausage - its one of two things for me. It is either complete naivety from the BoD over what drives a publicly listed share price, particularly on AIM, or it is the stark reality from the BoD that the jam tomorrow spin has run out of credibility and that we are in the proverbial excrement as a commercial entity. My take is that nobody can continually make school boy errors (lack of news, CLF, excessive salaries in relation to our revenue and profits etc etc) as has quite clearly gone on here. I simply don't buy the "these are genuine guys" story anymore and whatever positivity keeps getting put into the fold, our last P&L figures tell the most up to date story that we, and the market, have. We can't mine the coal profitably and there seems no reality from the BoD that we need to cut our "administrative costs" accordingly. Unless there is something absolutely mind blowing going on in the background, I think my 90%+ paper loss will be turning into a 100% actual loss in the not too distant future. I hope I am wrong. GLA

Sausage - no listed company can issue shares below their nominal value (ours being 0.02) - we would need to consolidate first which requires shareholder acceptance at an EGM. My view is we would probably place at 0.05 (ish) which is still a hefty 60% discount to the OO price. I'm not convinced there is any forward selling going on - if you look at the OO shortfall that's another 450million shares plus hitting the market out of the allotted 515million. We'd notice those sort of volumes. But I am squarely in your camp on this - things really don't look very rosy and I agree that it certainly looks like Rufus is planning the exit strategy. GLA

aerial - I'd take two things - you bought c10m shares in the last half an hour and Rufus hasn't responded because you clearly haven't managed to balance all the negative posts with positive posts on here today!! All tongue in cheek mate. Have a pleasant weekend and I truly hope there is a magic RNS dot at 7am on Monday. GLA

aerial - I'm not 15minutes delayed, but I'm not going to get into the realms of Level2 or live prices.

aerial - I have a lot of respect for your knowledge and, indeed, your positivity on Edl but that last post to Crystal is a bit pointless. The reality is the under funded OO will result in a discounted placing (we can't go much lower before we reach 0.02p and automatically have to consolidate and then, oh, rinse and repeat), production numbers are being kept a closely guarded secret (because they are undoubtedly still insufficient to keep us going / pay our monthly loan without issuing even more shares) and the market has quite clearly reacted to the fact we're now on the verge of losing our assets to Lind because of a naïve CLF that was signed by our BoD with a sharp instrument held to the head of shareholders over it getting approved at the EGM. I personally can't find any positives in all of that and if Rufus does come up with some miracle from somewhere I will be the first to congratulate you on your unnerving positivity, which I continue to respect. But in my world I see the stark reality and parallels with many other AIM failures playing out and I'm afraid we've all been sold a pup. GLA

Crystal - the sad fact is I've been here before on several other AIM stocks. I wrongly thought over the years Edl would be different and that mega tonnage of coal would make a few quid for my children's retirement fund. But it's sadly gone exactly the same way as many others, just that the demise has taken a lot longer. In the voice of Vinny Jones - "It's been emotional". GLA

aerial - depends on your perspective - most of us on here are down 90% plus so a few percentage points here and there isn't going to make any difference. GLA

aerial - there's no need for us to be splitting hairs - the price is on it's a**e whichever way we look at it. GLA

sgee - the BoD know that the gravy train has very rapidly run out of steam, undoubtedly the reason behind this new company within the group to look at other prospective investments. It's going to take one mighty rabbit out of the hat to save us I'm afraid. GLA

aerial - London Stock Exchange is currently showing a delayed price (not live) of bid of 0.04 and offer 0.05

Crystal - I think the market reached that conclusion months ago. I think we will have an RNS shortly regarding a placing for the OO shares that weren't taken up. The 30 Jan RNS is quite clear that they would do that subject to approval of the resolutions at the EGM, which they got. I can't see a placing being more than about 0.04 given the current share price IMHO. GLA

bigeye - that's cleared things up - for a moment there I thought you and aerial were one and the same.

larry - no - Sausage isn't right. The RNS will be at 4.35pm.....

bigeye - are you responding on behalf of aerial there?

aerial - wholeheartedly agree - but the CLF is a massive elephant in the room. Lind have been very shrewd in all of this and either it was naivety from Rufus or last chance saloon in terms of funding - they now have first call on our assets if we default. Unless our sales figures have somehow taken a stratospheric jump from last year, we will still be losing money each month. The only way we can then pay Lind is through issuing shares which further dilutes PI holdings. I said in November we were in a corner - which we are. Winning the tender or thoughts of the power project are a while off yet and I'm not convinced we can ramp up our production sufficiently enough to survive in the short to medium term. That is why our share price is where it is and that it was the current facts we have tell us. The only way out I can see is indeed a sale. GLA

areyousure - "How anybody can still be happy with their investment is mind boggling" - well, I'm certainly not happy with mine. Perhaps one or two of the happier people on here can explain to me exactly how the P&L figures stack up? GLA
